HINDI NAPAPANIS
LEA
I woke up early today to pack my things. I didn't have enough time last night to pack as I had a sudden breakdown. Aga had to call my friends to console me as I was kinda panicking and having anxiety attacks.
I was thankful though that they stayed by my side the whole time I wasn't feeling well– including Aga who joked around with Vice just to cheer me up.
Dati pa naman akong nakakaranas ng catcalling but I have never, in my entire life, experienced that kind of sexual harassment. To kill the curiosity, I was at a bar that night with my friends and we were having fun. So much fun that I drank too much to the extent that I didn't know what I was doing. The only thing that I remembered was how Dawn pulled me away from Mark's grip that night. She knew I was drunk and the kiss that happened was out of the alcohol in my body.
Simula noon, hindi na ako tinantanan ni Mark na ipaalala ang bagay na 'yon. I was drunk, okay? I wouldn't dare kiss him sober.
He isn't my type and never will be.
I looked at the clock beside me and saw that it was only 4 in the morning. I didn't have enough sleep. Suddenly, I heard the twitching of my door. The conference today will begin at 8 in the morning at the Lu Vier.
Hindi ko naman na gusto sanang pumunta. If not for the immediate action taken towards the incident, I wouldn't attend the conference. To be with Mark in one area would only suffocate me. Luckily and thankfully, the board has already done immediate and right action regarding the matter. Hindi na papupuntahin doon ang manyak na 'yon.
I looked at the door and saw Aga opened it. He looks ravishingly handsome with only a pair of white shirt and khaki shorts. I mean, when did he ever look ugly?
"Busy, ah?" he smiled at me.
"Aga, it's still too early to piss me off," I replied and continued packing my clothes. From my peripheral vision, I could see him getting the remote from the table and he then lied down the bed as if it was his own personal space.
Para bang sanay na sanay na siyang doon humihiga. Actually, sanay na rin naman akong nandiyan siya. Why am I making a big deal out of it?
"Mas gusto ko dito, eh."
"Manunuod ka lang naman. May TV ka rin naman sa unit mo, eh."
"Oo nga. Pero mas gusto ko dito. Para magkasama tayo."
I snickered at his remark.
"You okay now, baby?" he asked me out of a sudden.
I felt my heart thumped. Bakit ba ang hilig mang-bigla ng isang 'to? He could've just asked me plainly without calling me baby. Because honestly, my heart beats really loud and fast every time he calls me endearments– including babes now, which I, at first didn't like, "Better."
"Good."
"Thank you sa kagabi pala. Hindi ko na nabanggit," I told him.
He looked at me and gave me a warm smile, "Don't thank me for what I've done. Every guy would do that. Except doon sa isa."
