David's POV:

It has been a couple months. We've celebrated 1 year and 3 months already. That was last week. It was the anniversary of our video that we posted, exposing our relationship to the internet. Liza and I have landed in Paris, and we wanted to go there to celebrate Liza's birthday. It's over, but it would be special.

I shook Liza a little. She was asleep.

"Liza? We landed." There was no response.

"Liza..." I shook her a little harder. She opened her eyes a little.

"Already?" She half yawned, half said. "It feels like waking up for school. Except, we're in Paris!" She regained her focus. "We're in Paris. We're really in Paris!" She looked out the plane window. She squealed a little.

"Ok, calm down. Yes, we're in Paris." I smiled. I liked seeing Liza happy. The amount of times that I've seen her depressed can last me a lifetime.

She squeezed my hand. "Let's get out, then!"

"Wait! We have to wait for the signal."

Thank you for flying with us. Please enjoy your stay in Paris, France. Au revior!

"Um...Liza, did you learn a little bit of French?"

"Of course. I come prepared, unlike you. Au revior means goodbye."

"Oh. What about other terms?"

"Well, here are some phrases I thought we would need.

Merci- Thank you
Parlez-vous anglais? - Do you speak English?
Je ne comprends pas- I don't understand
Oui- Yes
Non- No
Pardon- Excuse me

and of course,Où sont les toilettes?  means 'Where are the restrooms?'" Liza chuckled a little. "I think we'll need that one, just because we're tourists."

I was amazed. "You learned all of that in two days?"

"Well, it wasn't that hard. I only learned a couple phrases. I can't actually speak French."

I saw people getting up. "Show me your awesome French-speaking skills later. Let me go grab our bags." I reached over and grabbed them. I stood in the crowded aisle as I offered a hand to Liza. "Let's go."

She took my hand, and I helped her out of our cramped airplane seats.

"Did you leave anything?" I asked.

"Right back at you. I don't think I lost anything, but did you lose something?" She went into the back pocket of the airplane seat and pulled out my phone. She dangled it in my face. "Hmm...I wonder what would've happened if you lost it."

"Ok, my bad." I took the phone from Liza. I handed Liza her luggage. "Let's actually go now." We weaved our way across a couple people, but got stuck in a straight line after a bit. We exited the airport, and Liza was a little worried.

"Are we going to go in an Uber?"

"No. I wouldn't do that to you. I have a cousin in Paris. We can't live at his house, but he'll take us to our hotel."

"Good." We waited about another 5 minutes before my cousin showed up.

"Hey, what's up?" This was one of the few family relatives I was actually sort of close with. I would text him often, and I was really happy that we had a ride in Paris.

"Hi." He responded. "Climb in."

I took Liza's bag and put it in the back. "Be grateful that he speaks fluent English. Not many people are like him in France." I whispered to Liza.
