     Flashback
                          
   Eira was on the island off Nova Scotia. Katherine had just gotten the cure and Eira was saying goodbye to her. 
                          
   "Goodbye Kat."
                          
   "You know, I was getting this cure to negotiate my freedom from Klaus. But it seems I don't need it," Katherine started. 
                          
   "What are you saying?" Eira asked. 
                          
   "Who better to negotiate my freedom than the one girl he loves the most?" Katherine smirked. 
                          
   "You want me to ask him," Eira realized. 
                          
     Katherine held the cure out to Eira and she took it. She put it in her inside jacket pocket. Eira hugged Katherine and Kat hugged her back. 
                          
   "I'll get your freedom. I promise," Eira swore, pulling away from Kat. 
                          
    "Thank you," Katherine stated, showing her caring side. 
  
   "What are friends for?" Eira questioned, rhetorically. 
                          
     "I'll see you soon, Eira," Katherine said her goodbye.

   Present
                          
   
    "Why did you call me here?" Elijah questioned, looking around and then looking at Eira. 
                          
   Eira and Elijah were in the living room of the Salvatore boarding house. She had called him and he came like she asked. 
                          
   "Katherine told me that the both of you were working together. To find the cure," Eira started. 
                          
   "I wasn't aware Katherine informed you of everything," Elijah commented. 
                          
    Eira gave Elijah a small smile,"I believe your aware of the term friendship, Elijah."
                          
    Elijah's noble exterior broke and he let out an amused smile,"Yes, I'm well aware."
                          
    "Good, because I didn't call you here about Katherine. I called you here about your sister," Eira started and Elijah was intrigued. 
                          
   Eira walked over to a bookshelf in the room. She took out some books and she put them on the table behind her. She reached her hand in the space where the books used to be and pulled out a small box. 
                          
   Eira walked over with it to Elijah. She looked up at Elijah,"Katherine gave me the cure."
                          
    Elijah's face contorted in confusion,"Why are you giving it to me?"
                          
   "I'm giving it to you to give to Rebekah," Eira started. "You're her brother, a much wiser older brother. You should be the one to give it to her however you see fit."
                          
   Eira held out the box with the cure inside to Elijah. He took it from her hand and he opened it just to make sure the cure was inside. It was and he closed it. 
                          
  "Out of all the people you could've given it to, you chose my sister. Why?" Elijah asked. 
                          
   "I was going to give it to Stefan. I really was. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I didn't want to lose my brother to old age," Eira explained. "I guess you can call me selfish."
                          
   "It's not selfish to love your brother, Eira," Elijah reassured. 
                          
   Eira gave Elijah a small smile before becoming serious again,"I know that your angry at Katherine for killing Elena."
