Vic's POV
.
.
"Vic, come on, I know you don't want to but you have to eat." Kayleigh insisted as I stared at the salad that was sitting in front of me. I don't want to eat, I don't need to eat, and I don't have to eat if I don't want to. Why she can't see that I don't know.
"You can't make me," I said, and pushed away the plate towards her. I haven't been the nicest to her at all, and I don't plan on being any nicer. She doesn't know what its like to not want to eat, so she can go fuck a cactus for all I care. She looked tired, and she rubbed her temples as if she was trying to calm a nervous breakdown, but I thought it was hilarious. I have never been so satisfied in my whole life, besides the fact it has now been a good two weeks since I have eaten.
"You know what, I give up," she whispered under her breathe until her phone rang which happened to be 'If You Can't Hang' by Sleeping with Sirens. That's my music not hers. She probably doesn't even know any other songs. As she looked at the caller ID her face lit up and a small grin appeared.
"Hello this is Kayleigh's sperm bank, you wank it, we'll bank it," she said straight faced into the phone as she pressed accept call, she laughed a little at her own joke and I could tell she was talking to a friend of hers.
Sperm bank?
What a whore.
"Listen, I am at work now so I can't talk now."
"Is it really that important?"
"Fine, be quick."
"You what?" She almost yelled into the phone, but to cover her mouth in the process. She probably got some new shoes in or something.
"No way, I can't take those away from you." Bitch I bet you will anyway.
"There is someone I could ask," she took a small glance up at me, and looked back down at her plate full of food, which made me gag just looking at.
"I have to go, I will talk with you later though,"
"Bye."
She put her phone back down on the counter and kept on eating, not even acknowledging the fact I was still here. At least she isn't nagging at me to eat more. "Vic, just eat a little bit. I am not saying you have to, but I might get in trouble because its regulation that we get Anorexia patients to eat at least once a week," spoke too soon.
"Wait, that came out wrong, I mean, I do want you to get better, I just don't want to get the sack for not doing what I am supposed to do." She stated, which made me sneer in my head. Of course she is lying, she just doesn't want the sack because she wants money.
Typical.
"I couldn't care less if you got the sack or not," I said, anger filling my voice. I stood up, pushing my chair over in the process while everyone's eyes were on me. I walked away leaving a stunned audience, and ran back up to my room with rage building up inside me. Fucking stupid Kayleigh needs to leave already, I don't want her here.
I got to my room, and did nothing but head straight to my bathroom, looking for the shiny piece of metal I snuck in only a month ago. It was just from a sharpener, but it did the job I needed done. The bathroom was extremely small so it was easy to find, which I did and found it where I left it.

I ran my wrist under some cold water, and pressed a bit of clean toilet paper over the cuts to stop the amount of blood flow. A stinging sensation ran up my arm as the water seeped into the open wound, and I shivered in delight. There is nothing more appealing to me that the feeling of physical pain. It makes me forget about the mental pain, and I can take my anger out on myself instead of hurting someone else. So if anything, I am doing everyone else a favour. But the one thing that mind boggles me, is how people freak when they find out I am hurting myself. I am not doing anything to them, so they shouldn't be upset. It's my body and I'll do what I want to it, no matter how painful or scary it may be to anyone.
Once there was no blood left on my arm, and my wound seemed clean enough I wrapped a bandage around it from the emergency first aid kit that I had in my cupboard behind the mirror. Pulling my sleeves of my jumper down, I walked into my bedroom and decided it would be a good idea to explore the hospital a little more. I had only been outside once in a whole five weeks, so it'd be best not to be cramped up in a small room.
I headed outside and into the corridor, to be met with a deafening silence. No one stood in the corridors, just me. Its sad how much this looks like a hospital, this place should look like more of a less scary place to be. It smells like an ordinary hospital, which always bought back old memories from when I was younger.
I walked along the hallway, following wherever I lead to. Finding nothing but deserted corridors and empty rooms. The silence slightly frightened me a little, but I just kept walking until I cam across a room and heard a small sob coming from behind the door that said Manager.
"I try to be nice to him, but all he does is ignore me or say rude and unnecessary things towards me! I don't know what to do, and I am not giving up on him. I couldn't do that ever." A familiar voice sounded through the door.
"Have you tried telling him that you want to help him?" A male voice spoke.
"Thanks for the help. I came here to you because this is too hard for me to handle, and there wasn't a class I could take for this at college. I don't know how to handle this."
"Maybe take him to a place you'll know he'll love. Do you know any of his interests?"
"I know he likes music especially-"
"Hi Vic!" A voice came from behind me, I turned around to be met with Shayla's big green eyes.
"Hello Shayla" I said while awkwardly scratching the back of my neck. All my mind was focusing on was the conversation between who I think was Kayleigh and the manager. I can't be giving her that much grief, she is just overreacting. Girls are very emotional, one tiny thing you do wrong and they'll go ballistic.
"Hey," Shayla waved her hands in front of my face, "I said do you want to wonder around a bit? Maybe even see if we can go to the coffee shop across the road if my therapist will let us?"
"Sure, why not?"
She jumped in excitement, and grabbed my wrist which I flinched back as she touched the sensitive area of skin. Blood was seeping through the material, and was on her fingertips and she kept staring back and forth between her fingers and my wrist until it clicked in her head.
"Oh my gosh Vic, I am so sorry-"
She tried to finish her sentence of apology but she was cut off by the sound of a slamming door behind us.
