{Lexi's POV}

"Lexi?" My dad says suddenly.
I felt my heart drop as he clearly knew what shawn and I were doing.
"Hi dad". I say, ashamed.
"And who are you?" He sternly asks.
"I'm- I'm Shawn."
"Well Shawn, would you care to explain, what you were just doing to my daughter?"

I could sense that he was going to shout at any second.
"Ignore him shawn. Dad, what are you doing just showing up? You don't live here anymore. Remember?"
"Well your mother said that I should come and see you, as I haven't in a while. Well I didn't expect to see you with a topless boy-"
"This isn't Lexi's fault sir-". Shawn tries to say.
"JUST LEAVE!" My dad shouts at Shawn.
"DAD DONT SPEAK TO SHAWN LIKE THAT. Shawn, you don't have to go.-" I say.
"It's okay, I'll leave you guys to it. I'll see you soon." He soon rushes out of the door, giving me a quick nod of reassurance and he goes.

"I can't believe you dad. You can't just show up whenever you want and expect to still call all the shots." I hastily say.
"I'm still your dad Lexi." He says.
"Just don't speak to Shawn like that again. I like him Dad."
"We'll see Lexi."
"So how come you still decided to come? I know you don't listen to Mom anymore."
"I wanted to catch up with you. Ask how your music is coming along. Because your mother said you weren't going college."
"She's right, I'm not." I reply, hastily.
"I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I know how much this music stuff is to you."
"Um, thanks?"
"So have you recorded anything?" He asks.
"I have,- sorry dad but I'm still a but shocked as to why you choose today of all days to come and see me. If I'm not mistaken the last time I saw you was when you left me and Mom over half a year ago." I say, bitterly.
"It wasn't just me. Your Mom and I thought it was the best decision for me to move out".
"Well you didn't visit me though? Dad, so much cool stuff has been going on in my life, that I just wanted to share with you. Like the fact I got signed, I wrote and recorded my first song. You were never there for me to tell." I hold back my tears.
"Oh sweetheart." My dad says.
"Don't oh sweetheart me. Now you just causally walk into mine and Mom's house and you shout at Shawn, which wasn't fair."
"I won't apologise for that." He says, abruptly.
"You can't just pick and choose when you want to be my dad."
"Lexi-"
"I'll tell Mom that you came by to see me. You can leave now."
"Honey-"
"I'm serious Dad, just go."

He looks at me dearly, but I can't bring myself to make eye contact with him. I turn my back to him, as he walks out the door.

I had a few tears leave my eyes.

I always ignored that fact that my Dad cheated on my Mom. They even tried to make it work and got back together. But we all knew that they didn't love each other anymore. And I thought I'd be okay with him moving out, because then he could be the happy and supportive Dad that I loved. But reality has hit me that he hasn't come by to see me in over 6 months, and then he has the audacity to shout at Shawn.

I make my way to the kitchen and I pour myself a glass of orange juice. My phone vibrates. It was a text off Shawn.

"Hope you're okay. Can't wait to see you tomorrow xx"

This text instantly improves my mood and I text back saying, "I'm fine, See you then xx".

I put my phone back on the table.

Suddenly, I found myself wishing to be with Shawn again.
