(Jessie's POV)
No, no, no! Not now, Destiny!
I put my arm around her shoulders in an attempt to calm my best friend down. Again Noah snarls at me. Hmm...
I look back at Destiny.
Not now, please!
A rage filled expression covers her face. She has her eyes closed.
They fly open.
I gasp. Dawn gasps. Noah gasps. Many people gasp.
Black. Deep, dark black pupils and irises.
Shit.
(Destiny's POV)
I don't know where I am, but I assume I am still back at the school. I have a great urge to get away from it, though. I want to be at the hill where I was a couple of nights ago, that has the view of the lake.
I don't know why though.
"Destiny, listen to me." I hear Jessie's firm voice talk at me. He sounds far away.
I can't see Jessie, though, funnily enough. Even though my eyes are open I can't actually see anything. It's like something is controlling me. Taking over my body and pretty much using me as a marionette doll.
"You need to move." He says, shoving me backwards hard, but not hard enough to make me actually move.
"Don't touch her!" Someone else argues, sounding outraged. Noah. The guy who is always in my house who constantly zaps me. Who I still haven't seen yet. Something about him seems different now. His voice sounds more powerful, more demanding. I don't know why.
I think this is going to go downhill really fast...
(Jessie's POV)
"Remy, get everyone out of here!" I scream at her through our private mind-link.
