Liza's POV:
I was nervous. That was the easiest way to explain it. Meeting his parents is my biggest fear, even before snakes. David was scared to meet my parents, but he can't even imagine how scared I am. I heard David's voice. "Liza? We need to go if we want to catch the flight at 10:00." I stood up.
"Ok." I said plainly, grabbing my suitcase as I met eyes with David. His dark chocolate eyes twinkled with excitement as he took his suitcase, gesturing for me to head out of the door. I couldn't reflect the excitement. Fear was the only emotion that I had. I headed in the Tesla, and David cranked up the music. He would jam to it, but I wouldn't. It was like we switched personalities. A couple minutes in, David noticed something was off. "Babe, what's wrong?" He asked gently. I didn't reply, but only turned around, and suddenly found interest in the random mountains in California. "It's my parents, isn't it?" He said.
"I used to joke around about it, but this is actually happening. I was very self-conscious back then, and I still am now. What if your parents don't like me? They've only seen me in the outros!" I exclaimed.
"I'm sure they'll like you." David assured. "Plus, you have my three siblings to look forward to as well!"
"Oh yeah, you have siblings! They're so cute, I'm jealous. I was an only child. What were their names again?"
"Ester, the oldest, Sarah, and Toby, the youngest."
"Okay. Do you think I'll easily be able to tell them apart?"
"Ester is a couple years older than Sarah, so they'll be easy to tell apart. Plus, you've got me too!"
"Of course. I just want to make a good first impression."
"You'll do fine. Well, we're here! Good ol' LAX."
We got off the car, and went through the security, getting on the plane at 9:10am. "I call window seat!" I said as we got on the plane.
"Oh Liza," David laughed. "You can have the window seat." I went in and was followed by David. Soon, it was take off. I snapped a couple photos for Instagram and other social medias, and got bored. I knew a trip to Chicago wouldn't take long, and tried not to fall asleep. But my brain thought otherwise. My eyes felt heavy and I put my head on David's shoulder, and David glanced at me. I closed my eyes, and I could feel a soft peck on my forehead as I drifted off to sleep.
David woke me up before the airplane landed. "Liza? Wake up, the plane's going to land soon." I blinked a couple times, and shook myself awake. A new wave of fear and anxiety washed over me as I realized how close I was to David's parents. "It'll be fine." David assured, meeting me at the lips. "They're my parents. You're my girlfriend. There won't be any complications." He kissed me softly as we landed.
"David, I'm giving you a challenge." I announced.
"What is it?" He smiled.
"You may not curse for the next 48 hours. And absolutely no cursing. No damn, no hell. Nothing. Are you up to it?"
"48 hours?" He chuckled. "Okay, I accept your challenge. I wasn't planning to swear anyway."
"Really?" I questioned.
"Yep. Also, you have to do it too."
"Do you think I would swear if I wanted to make a good first impression? Also you have younger siblings. Like REALLY young siblings."
"I guess so. Well, we should get going."

Ubers are great. Did you know that? Well, except Dan obviously. But I don't know how I would get around without ubers. After about 30 minutes, we arrived in Vernon Hills. "David, you didn't tell me how pretty it was here!" I whipped out my phone and tried to take a couple pictures while the car was moving. "Well, Houston is beautiful as well." He replied.
