Good morning! So the title of the chapter probably gave you guys a pretty good idea of what's happening next. I would like to apologise for any feels and false hope. I feel very evil. Also, I'm going to be calling Zero "Isabel" throughout most of the chapter.
A big thanks to izzyrxze and DestinyIsFangirlish for help with this chapter. Thank you guys for listening to my ideas, it really helps to talk about the idea and get input before I start writing! (You guys help so much I should probably just dedicate my entire existence to you two.)
Just a warning... there are so many perspective changes in this chapter. I've completely abandoned my original strategy: each chapter is in one person's view. Sorry about that!
Anyways, happy reading!
xoxo

___________________________The Doctor's POV
I picked myself off the floor: I needed to pull myself together because Zero was going to wake up soon, and she couldn't wake up in the Tardis.
I gathered our things and went to my room to change. Once I was in my normal clothes and wearing my trusty red converse I returned to the console room and nearly yelped with surprise. The Tardis had changed Zero's clothes, and she was now wearing black leggings and an oversized, green Christmas sweater.
"You can change people's clothes? How come I have to dress myself then?" I complained at the Tardis. She hummed loudly in response and I sighed and began carrying our suitcases out of the Tardis.
We were parked in front of a old farmhouse in the countryside early in the morning. The yellow paint was chipped and faded, and the house seemed a century old. When I entered it looked fairly well lived in; the walls were covered in photographes, that the Tardis created, of Zero and I, and the house smelled of lavender and coffee.
I set the suitcases on the floor and went back to the Tardis and scooped up Zero, reminding myself to call her Isabel. I carried her into the house and searched for her bedroom, which was upstairs, and tucked her into bed.
As I turned to leave, she stirred a bit and weakly grabbed my coat. "John, where are you going?" She asked groggily.
"I just have some things to do," I explained. "Go back to sleep."
"Sleep is good," she muttered as she rolled over.
I hurried to park the Tardis somewhere safe that Zero, or Isabel as I should say, wouldn't find it. So I parked in a garage across the street and returned to the house.
The house was very quiet and very cold, so I began to make a fire. The fireplace was an old, iron wood stove, and is wasn't long before heat began to flow through the room.
Once I was finished I realised that Zero was now Isabel, which meant she was very human. And of course this meant she was going to eat a lot more than she did when she was a Timelord. So I began making a breakfast of eggs and waffles.
After thirty minutes I had made a fairly large amount of waffles and eggs, and the temperature in the house was very pleasant. And I was trying to think of what I needed to do next when I heard someone coming downstairs.
"Good morning," Isabel greeted me, her voice thick with sleep.
I turned to face her and had to stop myself from gasping. "Isabel, you aren't wearing any pants," I observed. Her leggings were gone, and she now wore nothing but her green Christmas sweater and a pair of black underwear.
She gave me a confused look. "So? This is my house! If I wanted to I'd walk around completely naked. And furthermore, John, you've seen me in far less clothing."
