Jayde

'Hey grandma!" I smile, entering my elderly grandmothers bungalow. I lean down and hug her lightly, being extra careful. She was a frail old woman with strong words. Like other elders she was wise and kind-hearted. Her husband, my grandfather, had died just over a decade ago so I always made it my duty to see her as much as I can.

"Hello dear!" She smiled, showing off her false teeth.

"How are you today?" She sat in her reclinable chair with floral patterns stitched onto the deep red background.

"I'm ok, I guess" i sighed

"Oh dear! What is it?" Her words were laced with concern.

"Its nothing, I swear" she gave me a 'i don't believe you' look

"Jayde Kayla hood! Do not lie to me!" Her words were stern but had a hint of sorrow.

"Please tell me what's wrong, I'll give you a sweetie out of the drawer" she reasoned. laughing slightly, I gave in.

"Its Luke.. " i dragged

"Hemmings"

"Yeah" I wanted to stop there but I knew she would push and push until she eventually got the truth out of me.

"Well the two of us were kinda dating. But it lasted for like a month and he still hadnt asked me to be his girlfriend and I was getting kinda frustrated" I took a breath and continued with my story

"So I confronted him about it, but I drunk so he told me to drop it and we got in a fight and now he's on tour and I don't know how to fix it! He called me earlier and I was a total bitch to him, grandma!  I just! I don't know! He probably hates me anyways so.." I rambled.

"Jayde-"

"-And the worst part is! I found a big banner that said 'be my girlfriend!' He was going to ask me but now he can't"

"If he likes you that much he's going to fight for you jayde. Hes going to do everything he can to get you back and if he doesn't it wasn't going to work out anyway"

"Thanks grandma!"

"Relationships are work, honey and they aren't 50/50. Some days when I got up I only felt like giving a 10% then your grandad had to give 90% but if it's real... there will always be 100% love"

"Now! Don't be staying with me any longer and go talk to loverboy!"

"I love you grandma, thank You!"

You welcome sweetie! Love You!"
