I woke up at 5:30 am, as training would start at 6:30. It seemed way too early, but I'd have to suck it up. I wondered what Aiden's friend was like as I walked into my closet and threw on a purple shirt and black pants. I went to the bathroom to brush my long, wavy black hair. I looked like a goth person, but eh. Oh, well. I was a Witch, not a person. Dark was my sort of thing. I had gotten ready very quickly, so I decided to go find Aiden and ask for a dog. As soon as I opened the door, he happened to be walking by. I stopped him. "Hey Aiden!" I yelled to him. "I need to discuss something with you."
"Meet me at my office near the front door right after training. I'm busy right now."
"Okie dokie!" I replied. It was funny that I was acting so positive as I looked goth. Heh. I started to stroll toward the room number written on a scrap piece of paper in my hand. I soon became lost. The maze of halls stretched on, endless and confusing.
As I walked, a boy with platinum blond hair and emerald green eyes passed me. "Hey," I asked him. "Do you know how to get to room 724? I can't find it."
"Sure. Follow me. I can take you most of the way, but the rooms in the 700s are for dark magic users only. The apartments are in the 900s. We're in the entrance hall! How did you get here?"
"I don't know. This place is a maze! Thanks for helping."
"No prob," he replied. He seemed so nonchalant.
I followed the young man through the building and to a door that had a sign that read: 700 Hallways: Dark Magic Wielders Only. "Okay. This is where I take my leave. Bye!" He told me as he started walking away.
"Wait, you left this--" I started to say, but he was gone. I looked at the small slip of paper that he had dropped. On it was the directions once you got to the 700 hallway. I wondered how he knew this. Only dark magic wielders could go to this hallway, and he didn't look anything like a typical dark magic user.
I turned the knob and the door opened with a loud screech. Inside was another hall with navy blue walls and tiles that looked similar to marble. The doors were black. I noticed a trash can and quickly threw the paper away. I didn't trust the boy. There was something odd about him. The hall was mostly straight, so I navigated Room 724 fairly swiftly.
