Jazmine's PoV:
It was nearing the day that my little sibling would be born. Home was pretty chaotic so I went out with James Patrick.
"Why do you avoid and ignore me at school all the time? Is it because of your team giving you pressure or...?" I began.
"No, it's because of Jessie. She doesn't like you being around me for some reason. She says that you have a bad aura around you." James replied chuckling.
"Didn't know your sister was a psychic, I can officially add psychotic and crazy to the list." I said boldly.
"Weren't you two the best of friends?" James asked.
"Of course we were, till Ms. crazy turned on me." I answered back slightly flustered."I turned on you?! How absurd!" Jessie exclaimed as she entered the area. "What are you doing with her anyway James?"
"Unlike you, James knows how to keep old friends." I said smirking.Usually after a witty remark like such, Jessie usually gets angry and tries to prove she can fight better than me.
Jessie's face turned red as she gritted her teeth and balled her fist.
"What's the matter Jessica, ate a red hot pepper?" I said pushing her to the edge of the cliff known as anger.
One thing Jessie hated was being called Jessica. She always made sure that every one called her Jessie.
Jessica lunged forward only to be grabbed by her brother James.
"Will you two stop, what really happened between you two, and be completely honest." James said sternly which made me blush.
"Well for starters, your sister hangs with the wrong gang at school, such as Brianna Midhale." I started.
"Well, your friend over here, she talks about us behind our backs, and should I say, the things she say would make you despise her." Jessie said surprising me.
"What the hell are you talking about Jessica, I never talked about you behind your backs, where did you hear that from?" I responded slightly angered.
"Brianna Midhale had a recording of you." Jessie answered.
"What recording, I never said anything bad about you two and I never liked Brianna so I try my best never to be near her." I retaliated.
"Then explain this." Jessie said as she played the audio file.
My voice: The Patricks?
Brianna's voice: Yeah, they're your friends right?
My voice: Ofcourse......not.
Brianna: Really?
Me: Those two are pathetic and they piggyback on people who matter. Well at least now James is an athlete so he will get his own fame, Jessica on the other hand, she'll just use her brother to get famous.
Brianna: Wow, cold much. The recording stops as I stood there astonished at how I didn't say that yet that's my voice.
"Does that really sound like me?" I asked.
"It is your voice." James said looking at me strangely.James grimace did me no justice.
"I know it sounds like my voice but did it sound like something I would really say?" I asked.
"Well, kinda, you did some mean things and not to mention how you treated your own twin sister." James concluded.
He did bring a strong point to the table.
"As you can see, she's a bad friend. She talks badly about people behind their backs and then lies to their face, or should I say withhold truths." Jessica spat distastefully.
James looked at me astonished that I would say such things about him and his sister.
"Aside from her voice, what other proof do you have? You know, Brianna is capable of getting whatever she wants. She is quite resourceful." James added giving me the benefit of the doubt.
"Well none." Jessie admitted.
"Well it's time to get some, until then, I don't know what to think." He said looking at Jessica.
"How am I going to do that exactly?" She asked.
"Why don't you call your buddy Brianna." I suggested. "And tell her to tell you the full truth. Right now, she's trying to get close to me so use that as your ticket to get your information."
"I don't know what you're trying to prove, but alright." Jessica said as she dialed Brianna's number and put it on speaker so we could hear.
Brianna's voice:
Hello?Jessie:
Hey Bri.Brianna:
Hey Jessie, what's up?Jessie:
Not a lot, I was just wondering, are you my actual friend?Brianna:
Of course, why wouldn't I be?Jessie:
I see how you treat some of your friends. Real friends don't lie to each other. Remember you said that about Jazmine?Brianna:
Of course I did and real friends don't lie nor go behind others backs.Jessie:
Are all the contents in the audio file true? Is that really Jazmine? Be real with me, Jazmine probably wouldn't have said most of the things in there but it was possible, so what is real?Brianna:
Well the start is true but after of course, that was all my doing. She never said of course not. Sorry but I just needed you on my side and it clearly worked.Jessie:
So when were you planning to tell me that you lied to me and how did you manipulate her voice.Brianna:
Somethings in life are better left uncovered. You ask too much questions, what are you the police?Jessie:
No but I think you crossed a line, good bye! Oh and don't ever talk to me again.Jessica ended the called and looked at me with sorry eyes.
"See I told you!" I blurted out. "However, you're lucky I don't hold grudges to gullible people such as yourself and my sister." I said smiling.
"Hey!" Jessie retorted.
"But it is true, you and Jamie are pretty gullible." James added.
"Friends?" I asked holding out my hand to shake hers.
"Friends." Jessie said swatting away my hand and embracing me into a hug.
"Wait, did you say you didn't hold a grudge against your sister?" James asked.
"That's completely different. She was manipulated so that case called for different reasons." I said.
