She was the most beautiful pokémon I had ever seen. "M-meow?" I wiped tears from my face with the back of my hand. I saw the golden name tag hanging from her collar, which was the same color as the big pink bow. Her name was Meowzie. "Meow. Meowzie...?", she said awkwardly. I realized I was staring at her, a stupid smile on my face. I quickly looked away. I could feel my face turning red. "Meowzie." Of course, I could understand her and that ment she had to go. "Meow.", I said sadly. Meowzie bounded off after a human wearing a huge fur coat and high heels. I sighed and walked back across the street to my box. I needed rest after this long day. The sun was starting to set. That night, I dreamed about that meowth. I dreamed that she was part of my family and that all of my siblings we're back. I missed them. I missed Meowzie. I woke up to a cold day. I yawned and a shiver ran down my back. I stepped out of the box and started walking down the street, hoping to warm up a little. I trotted down the road a little faster, not warming up at all. Suddenly, the smell of human food hit me. I looked to the side and noticed a spilled trash can. I found a hamburger patty and a couple half eaten chicken wings. I started to eat. The food wasn't great. It tasted days old, but I couldn't find anything else. Right when I finished eating, I looked across the street at a perfume shop. I couldn't believe my eyes! Right on the window sill was Meowzie! "Meowth!", I shouted. Without even thinking, I darted into the road toward the beautiful pokémon. I heard a horn and stopped, my ears flat. There was an eighteen wheeler truck coming at full speed. It slammed on it's brakes and stopped just a few inches from me. More cars crashed into the back of the truck and jerked it forward and it ran right into me. Another car came from the other way and crashed into the front of the truck. There was silence. A few seconds later, I crawled out of the heap of metal and smoke, my fur covered in oil and ash. I looked up at Meowzie with a smile as I continued walking across the road. When I reached the shop, Meowzie looked suprised. I hopped up on the window sill beside her. "Meowth." I told her that she was the most beautiful scratch cat in the world. "Meow, meowzie meow", she replied. My smile faded. She said I wasn't fancy and that she would like a smart cat instead of one that roams the streets and lives in alleys. A tear rolled down my face and I ran off. With a stern face, I told myself that I wouldn't give up. That I was gonna get that pokémon to like me.
