**Darkiplier's POV**
I closed my eyes, Jack's kiss melting over me. I felt trapped against his touch. Helpless. Loved.I blinked open my eyes, cold air swirling around me. The darkness of my mind shifted. The pitch black seemed lighter. Mark stopped pacing, his footsteps still leaving glowing white marks on my brain. He looked over at me, eyes wide with confusion. I walked across the darkness to him, each step causing everything around me to change. Once I finally reached Mark, the only darkness remaining was the dark, thin fog, and me.
"Dark? What's happening?"
I laughed lightly, a small smile on my face. A bloody tear slid down my cheek, and fell to the floor. When it hit the ground, everything around us pulsed with light. I squinted, the white glow around us too much for me to handle. I stepped away from Mark, into one of the remaining areas of fog. Mark walked over to me, lips parted as if to speak, but he thought of nothing.
"Jack's kiss... It's not meant for me. I can feel it. The burning desire. Passion. Love. It's not for me. It's for you. He's calling out to you."
"Dark, why are you here?" Mark asked, stepping back.
"I'm weak, Mark. Every kiss makes me weaker. And I don't want to die off completely..." I looked away, thinking. Contemplating. I looked back at Mark, another tear sliding down my cheek, a reassuring smile on my face. It was a sad, sad smile. "It's time for you to take control."
I walked into the light and placed my hand on Mark's shoulder. Mark gasped, as I closed my eyes, letting my thoughts, and emotions melt into his mind.
"Goodbye, for now."
**Mark's POV**
"Mark? Mark?" I could hear Jack cry, but I didn't open my eyes. They were to heavy to open right now. Instead, I lay conscious on the floor listening to Jack. God, his voice was so lovely.
"Mark, please, you bastard! Wake up!"
A smile stretched across my lips, and I forced my eyes open. My vision was blurry, slowly adjusting to the bright sun rays shining through the curtains. I sat up on my elbows, looking up into his beautiful blue eyes. They were more than just blue. They were vast, indescribable seas filled with emotion. They were endless summer skies filled with inspiration. They were paint across a canvas. They were the blue neighborhood I would always return to.
He smiled so wide, I thought his face may crack, and tears began to stream down his cheeks. I lunged forward, wrapping my arms tightly around him, shushing his sobs. His tears of joy. He was an adorable crier. It pained me, knowing how many tears Dark caused him to shed.
His green, messy floof tickled my nose, causing me to chuckle. Jack shivered, his fingers curling into the fabric of my shirt.
"Mark, I've missed you. So, so, so-"
"Shh, baby. I'm here. I'm back," I whispered against his neck, a tear escaping my eyes.
I pulled him back so I could look into those beautiful eyes again. God, I missed seeing those eyes. In Dark's mind, I could hear everything he did, but couldn't always see it. It drove me insane. Luckily, not enough to break me. Jack smiled, laughing painfully.
"I missed seeing those eyes," Jack whispered, brushing my cheek. "I missed feeling your warmth," he said, placing his shaky hand on my chest.
I grabbed his wrist, massaging his skin. He smiled down at my hand. "I love you, Jack."
"I love you, Mark," Jack said, breaking down even more.
I laughed, wiping at his tears, and pulled him into a kiss. He cried against my lips, kissing me back desperately. He pecked every inch of my face with his soft lips, making me chuckle. He kissed my eyes. My nose. My cheeks. My forehead. My lips. Every time his lips were on mine, he melted against my touch, breaking down into more emotional tears.
"I'm sorry," he breathed, wiping at his tears.
"Don't be sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry he hurt you. I'm sorry I wasn't here to stop him. I'm sorry," I cried, kissing his shoulder.
"I love you."
"I love you, Jack."
