After graduating college, Beca moved to LA to become a music producer. Five years later, she was broke and forced to move back home. Back at home she worked as a hostess at Friendly's. She hated it.

Chloe became a teacher. She was still best friends with Aubrey, who was now married to Jesse and had a four year old girl named Lucy. Chloe loved her job and she loved Lucy. One day during the summer, Chloe watched Lucy for the day, while Aubrey and Jesse went out. Lucy loved spending time with Chloe.

"Lucy, where do you want to go to dinner?" Chloe asked, while she and Lucy were playing with dolls.

"Friendly's!" Lucy squealed.

"Really?" Chloe asked. She didn't mind the food at Friendly's, it was the atmosphere that drove her insane. Kids on sugar highs screaming there lungs out wasn't really something that Chloe enjoyed listening to.

"Yes! I love Friendly's!" Lucy said.

"Alright, let's get going so we don't have to wait." Chloe said. She just wanted to get it over with.

They got in the car and began to drive. They made it halfway when Lucy let out a scream. Chloe stopped short.

"What the hell!?" Chloe yelled.

"Language Chlo Chlo!" Lucy said.

"Why did you scream?" Chloe said.

"I forgot Boo Boo." She said. Lucy carried her stuffed bear everywhere she went. If she didn't have him, she just sat there and cried. Chloe knew they would have to go back.

"Do you want me to turn around?" Chloe asked.

"Yes!" Lucy said and Chloe obeyed.

Beca was getting dressed. She looked at herself in the mirror and recited what her best friend, and secret crush, had recited to her the last time they had seen each other. "Beca, if nothing is working out, please promise you will keep smiling. Your smile is beautiful. You is smart, you is kind, you is important." Beca giggled remembering the look on Chloe's face when she had finally smiled. Her giggle was interrupted by a thought. It had been five years and she still hadn't seen Chloe since that day. She would probably never see her again.

Beca got in the car and began driving to work. She entered and put on her name tag.

She stood at the hostess station and wrote the lyrics to her favorite song on her notepad.

Chloe, Lucy and Boo Boo were back in the car, driving yet again to Friendly's. When they arrived, Chloe led Lucy through the doors and to the hostess stand. At the stand was a short brunette, concentrating on writing something on her notepad. Her name tag wasn't visible, due to the way her hair fell over her shoulders.

"Welcome to Friendly's, how many?" The hostess asked, but remained looking down.

"Just two." Chloe said.

Beca would know that voice anywhere. It was the voice that had given her all of the encouragement she had needed. She looked up, saw the redhead and smiled. She smiled her beautiful and true smile.

"Is that Beca Mitchell, smiling?" Chloe said, recognizing her immediately. Beca ran out from behind the stand and hugged Chloe tightly. Chloe kissed Beca's cheek, causing Beca to blush. Lucy was clueless.

"I missed you so much!" Beca whispered in Chloe's ear and meant it.

"I missed you more." Chloe whispered back. "But I have a cranky kid that wants to be fed."

Beca giggled and looked at the blonde girl standing next to Chloe.

"Wait, is she yours? Are you married?" Beca asked, becoming nervous.

"No, no. This is Lucy, Aubrey and Jesse's daughter." Chloe said.

"Aubrey and Jesse? He left me for Bree?" Beca said, choking up.

"It's okay, Becs." Chloe reassured her. "So you work at Friendly's?"

"Yeah, I hate it." Beca said.

"Well I need a roommate, so, go quit!" Chloe said.

"Dude!" Beca said.

"Go!" Chloe insisted.

A few minutes later, Beca came back, smiling.

"I'm free!" She said.

"Chlo Chlo!" Lucy said, pulling on Chloe's jacket.

"What Lucy?" She responded.

"Who's this and why aren't we eating?" Lucy asked. She really was Aubrey's daughter.

"This is Beca. Beca loves me, and we aren't eating until she agrees to go out on a date with me." Chloe said. Beca blushed like crazy and was quick to catch Chloe off guard and briefly kiss her on the lips.

"There's more where that came from." Beca said. "When can I move in?"

"I think you'll be spending the night tonight." Chloe said, then remembered there was a four year old staring at her. "How about we go eat?"

"Finally!" Lucy said. The three of them ate and, after dropping Lucy off with Aubrey and Jesse, Beca and Chloe went to Chloe's apartment.
