Carson's POV

Friday

Lift your hands, lift your eyes

In the storm is where you'll find Me

And where you are, I'll hold your heart

I'll hold your heart

Come to Me, find your rest

In the arms of God who won't let go

The band were playing really well this evening at youth and everyone was feeling the Holy Spirit. It's the second time that I've felt it and I can't get enough. I smiled at the memory of how I was led to Christ through music and this youth group. I remember how I looked to Rachel up on stage and couldn't stop the smile from spreading across my shining face. I opened my eyes and looked to the stage and saw Rachel singing. Her hands lifted and her eyes closed. She looked so focused, yet so at peace. She looked comfortable and she looked more beautiful than ever when she was up there praising God. I could help but smile.

So when you're on your knees and answers seem so far away

You're not alone, stop holding and just be held

You're world's not falling apart, it's falling into place

I'm on the throne, stop holding on and just be held

Just be held

Just be held

We finished singing and started clapping. I looked to Rachel and smiled at her. She found my eyes and smiled widely at me. I chuckled then looked Brian. We had gone to him after I asked Rachel out and asked his opinion about the relationship and he approved so we were now official. We went on our date earlier today and it was amazing. I had nothing planned, since Rachel told me not to plan anything, so we walked around the city and window-shopped. We talked and went to see a movie. It was perfect in my eyes. "Wow, that was amazing! Worship team, you can take a seat!" Brian said as he walked up to the podium. Rachel skipped off stage and walked over to her seat next to mine. "You were amazing," I whispered in to her ear. She blushed and smiled. "Thanks, but I think you should tell that to God, he was the one doing it." she said. I smiled and put my arm around her and gave her a tight squeeze.

Brian started talking about the passage in Psalms 139 verses 13 to 18. "Girls, I want to take a minute to talk about you. I know that for a fact all of you have insecurities in some areas in your life, whether it's your weight, your looks or whatever, you all have them. And there are so many diseases out there because people don't know where their worth comes from. Well, your worth comes from God and He'll love you more than any man ever will, whether it's your father, your boyfriend or your husband. Read along with me, everyone, and speak the words over your life. Believe them." he said and picked up his bible. "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb." Brian started, people reading along slowly. I read the words along with Rachel. "Thank you for making me so complex! Your workmanship is marvellous – how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Everyday of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!" we all finished.
