I woke up and sat on the edge of my bed. I put my right hand over my belly and breathed through my nose. It was another morning of sickness. I was six weeks pregnant and I wasn't enjoying it. I laid back down in my bed, but soon enough I would have to get out of bed and ran into the bathroom again. I picked up the trash can and started throwing up. It wasn't long after that, that William came running into my bathroom. He came over to me and held my hair back. When I was done, I sat on the cold tiles of the bathroom floor. William kneeled down beside me and rubbed my arm. I felt pretty embarrassed.
"Do you feel better?" William asked.
"I guess."
I think he could tell that I wasn't happy with things. So he sat down beside me and sighed. I looked straight ahead and thought about some things. There were so many things running through my head. I was constantly throwing up in the mornings. A lot of my clothes weren't fitting anymore, and my belly had gotten a tad bit bigger. I mean I knew that it was going to happen eventually, I just wasn't ready for it at all.
"Did you want to do something today?"
"Well, I need to run to the grocery store because you have absolutely nothing in your refrigerator." I teased.
William smiled and laughed. "Alright, why don't we get dressed, and I'll go with you."
I nodded my head in agreement. We went out of the bathroom and got ready for the day. William went back to his room, while I was trying to decide on an outfit. I was in my closet when William walked in. He was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. However, I wasn't ready at all. I had my hair done and was wearing a tank shirt but I was trying really hard to put on some jean shorts.
"What are you doing?" William asked. "Is everything okay?"
"No everything is not okay. I am trying to put on these jean shorts, but I can't." I replied. "Ugh, why won't they fit?"
William laughed at me. I don't know why because it wasn't exactly funny, at least not to me.
"What is so funny?"
"Jannet you're pregnant. A lot of your clothes aren't going to fit anymore," he explained. "Here, why don't you put on some running shorts or something."
"Fine."
I took the shorts out of William's hands and put the shorts on. Then, I went over to the mirror. The outfit definitely matched and looked good, so I continued on with my day. We went out to the garage and hopped in the Range Rover. We drove to Super Target and began doing our grocery shopping. We ended up coming back with a full buggy load of food.
