'Tis only a bench

It creaks under the pressure,
Subdued by the weight,
Pound after pound,
The problems increase,

The structure creaks and cracks,
The welds only holding for so long,

Seems this bench and I are the same,
But I face the weight of the world,
And it, the weight of me,
It may relate,
But I am only human,
The oak I sit apon,
'Tis only a bench.
