How does Taurus not evolve to a bouffalant or Luvdisc not evolve into alomomola? The look like the same but they dont evolved to them. And how does a fish (aka remoirad) evolves to an octopus (Octillery) when it doesnt have tentacles and is not remotely close to octopus

How does a Magikarp evolve into a flying sea dragon? Magikarp is little and harmless and gyarados is just an raging, anger issues snake. And how is gyarados not a dragon. It obviously is by the look so they should have made a water-dragon type not a water-flying type pokemon or if they turned its mega typing into a water and dragon not a water-dark type instead
