Wednesday goes past fast and before I know it, it's Thursday. I love Thursday's because it's the day I have music with Luke Ashton.
I walk into the music room with Luke and we take a seat next to Ashton.
"Okay class. Go on with the songs you'll be performing," the teacher says.
Luke, Ashton and I find a small room so we can practice. Ashton sits on the wooden box, and Luke and I both grab a guitar.
"Tess, do yours first," Luke says.
"Okay," I say.
I rest my guitar on my thigh and start strumming.
"I'm waking up to ash and dust,
I walk my brow and I sweat rust.
I'm breathing in the chemicals," I sing.
Luke and Ashton both stare at me while I continue singing.
"Tess, you're an amazing singer," Ashton says.
"Thanks Ash," I smile at him.
"You're incredible," Luke agrees.
"Lucas, I'm not incredible. You're just saying that because you have to other wise I would get angry," I laugh.
"Yeah, true," he jokes. I throw my book at him lightly. He throws it back and we laugh. Ashton sits there awkwardly.
"Tess, you know I think you're amazing," Luke says.
"I know you do," I laugh.
I look over to Ashton. He looks kind of upset. I feel so bad for him.
"Your turn," I say.
They both perform their song, and I am yet again blown away by their talent.
"That was awesome!" I say when they finish.
"Really?" Ashton asks.
"Totally! You're both so talented," I say.
"Thanks Tessa," Luke says walking over to me and hugging me. I feel guilty because Ashton is right there, probably feeling like a third wheel.
"Well, how about we both run through them again?" I suggest.
"Sure," Ashton says, quietly.

(Ashton's P.O.V)
I hate this. Watching the girl I like with one of my best friends. I wish I made a move before Luke did. Then I would be the one taking her on dates, kissing her, holding her in my arms. It's only a matter of time before he asks her to be his girlfriend. Then what? I'll just have to keep pretending to not care. Fucking hell.

(Tessa's P.O.V)
I spend lunch with Luke again, so I can warn him about the Ashton situation.
"Umm... Luke, take it easy on the whole "you and me" thing around Ashton," I say.
"Shit, I forgot. Man, I feel bad now. But I needed to hug you. You just looked so... huggable," he laughs.
"You're a dork," I say.
"I know," he replies.
"I hope Ashton stops liking you because I'd rather not have another girl situation with him again," Luke says.
"Yeah. But I don't like him like that, so don't worry. You don't have any competition," I laugh and laughs back.
"On Saturday, it's going to be really hot, so wanna go to the beach?" Luke asks out of nowhere.
"Sure. Oh and I was wondering if you wanted to come to my house after school today and help me with my homework. I'm shit at maths, so I'm guessing you're good because your mum is a maths teacher and all," I say.
"Sure," he says.
"Cool. And we actually have to do homework, we can't get distracted," I say.
"I know, I know," he laughs.
------------------
"Hey Zoe. Luke's coming over for a while to help me with my maths," I yell to my sister when I get home.
"Okay!" She yells back.
I lead Luke up to my room. It's pretty messy, clothes all over the place, makeup all over my desk, my bed covered in stuff.
"Mind the mess," I say to him.
"Mess? What mess?" He says sarcastically.
"Shut up," I laugh. I get all my books out of my bag and clear my desk.
"Shit, I only have one chair, I'll go and get another one," I say walking to the door.
"Nah, you can sit on my lap," he says. He sits on the chair and pats his legs, gesturing for me to sit there.
"No, no. It's okay," I say.
"No, seriously. Sit Tessa," he says.
"Well, fine then, bossy boots," I laugh and take a seat on his lap. He wraps his arms around my waist as I get my pencil out of my pencil case. He rests his head on my shoulder.
"What do you need me to help you with?" He asks.
"Algebra. It makes no sense," I say. Maths is my worst subject.
"Easy. Show me and I'll help," Luke says.
I show him what I have to do and he explains really well.
"Thanks Lukey," I say once we finish.
"Now that you've finished your homework, can we do something different?" He asks.
"Sure. What do you wanna do?" I ask.
"Sit next to me," he takes a seat on my bed. I sit next to him and he grabs my waist from behind and I lean back on his chest. He puts his lips to my neck, leaving small kissing all along it.
"You're beautiful," he says, his voice quiet and deep.
I smile, even though he can't see my face.
"Can I ask you something?" I ask him.
"Anything," he says.
I turn to him.
"Do you think we're moving too fast? Like we're not even officially together yet," I say.
"I don't know. Do you?" He say. So much for trying to get an answer.
"Not really to be honest. But maybe other people do," I say. I'm pretty sure my sister and Jess both think we're moving to fast, but I don't care. I just wish he would ask me to be his girlfriend.
"Like who?" Luke asks.
"I don't know. But it doesn't matter what they think. I was just wondering," I say.
