there. "Are you even hungry?" Dean asked and turned of the engine. "I could go for a milkshake." Dean winked at him. "That we can get you."They went for the table they sat at the first time they've been to "Josie's Diner". It made Castiel feel nostalgic and he smiled softly when he sat down, folding his hands in his lap. He watched Dean peeling off his jacket and putting it next to him. Beneath the leather jacket, he was wearing a black T-shirt, that was tight around his chest and biceps. Around his neck he was wearing a necklace, which Castiel had never noticed before - probably because he was either too entranced by his face or scared off by his words. Gracie, the girl who'd served them all these weeks ago, came to their table. She beamed when she saw Dean, completely ignoring Castiel. It surprised Castiel when Dean didn't even look up at her as he placed his order, eyes on Castiel. "A chocolate milkshake and a double cheeseburger. Got it." She tried to get Dean's attention once more, but her smile faded when nothing happened. She huffed and walked away. "That wasn't nice, Dean." Dean tilted his head, drawing invisible patterns with his fingertip on the table. "What do you mean?" Castiel shook his head, disbelievingly, and sat back in his seat. "You know what I mean. Last time we went here, you basically, sorry for my language, fucked her with your eyes." Dean laughed, mirroring Castiel and sat back. "I didn't 'fuck' her with my eyes," he stated and then added, with a grin, "Sorry for my language." The smile was contagious and Castiel felt the corners of his lips lifting. This Dean he liked, it was almost like texting with him; easy and not complicated. He wanted Dean to stay like this, but was afraid that if he'd do something wrong, just a tiny bit, Dean would snap and push him away again. "You look worried." Dean said, with his chin in the palm of his hands. "I promise, I won't scream at you and kiss you again." His smile turned into something sad and Castiel could see regret in his eyes. "Cas," he begged. "I promise, okay? I know you have no reason to trust me, but this," He waved his hand between them. "is me trying to fix things. If you don't want to be friends with me after tonight, I will respect your decision, but give me a chance?"Castiel frowned, why would Dean think he wouldn't want to be friends with him? Before he could answer, Gracie came back, placing the milkshake and burger in front of Dean, leaning over a bit too much for Castiel's liking. Dean didn't look at her, just pushed the milkshake to Castiel and mumbled a thanks. "If you need anything else, just call me," she said and this time she smiled at Castiel. He took the milkshake in his hands and pulled it closer to the edge. "You know," Dean said and shifted in his seat. "I wish I wouldn't have been such an ass. I don't know why I acted like this. I think you just scared me." He took a bite of his burger, waiting for Castiel to say something back. That's what Castiel wanted, but now that he had the chance to talk, he didn't know what to say. "Don't worry about that, I, uh, understand." Dean shook his hand and swallowed before he answered. "But I do worry, I was an asshole, I wasn't thinking straight (in: or maybe he was thinking too straight .. hahaha pun .. ok bi .. i mean bye). It was overwhelming. After I kissed you, I got scared. Sam had always said that if I wanted to talk to him about, you know, my sexuality he would be there and I always brushed him off, because I thought I knew what I wanted and what team I swim for, but then I met you and this sounds so cheesy, but you ... I don't know." He shrugged his shoulders and took another bite, cheeks flushed in embarrassment. Castiel was blushing as well and the smile on his lips grew with
