amount of time he must have ran his hands through them, and the deep red shirt hugged him perfectly in places. Castiel stopped, noticing that he was outside of the school. He needed to take more care of his surroundings or he'd get hit by a car sooner or later. "And you," he countered, fumbling with the straps of his bag nervously.Dean shrugged his shoulders and flung the cigarette to the ground, stepping on it. He took his school bag in his hands and threw it over his shoulder. "Ditching school," he asked and walked away, not looking back. It's like he didn't care and just tried to polite, well as much as possible. Castiel shook his head, knowing that Dean didn't saw him, and turned around to run back into the school. He rushed down the hallways, almost falling into his classroom. Everyone looked at him and he felt his cheeks burning, but this was better than the humiliation he felt only a few seconds ago. His heart jumped frantically in his chest, daring to explode out of his body any second. Adrenaline kept on pumping through his veins, making it hard for him to breathe. He grabbed a pen and his notebook, trying his hardest to stop shaking when he starting writing down the notes the teacher had written on the blackboard. At least he had confirmation now, Dean hated him. He didn't understand why, but for some reason it was easier to accept than he thought. Why would people like him anyway? He sighed, slowing down his heartbeat. With every passing minute the tightness in his chest eased away and it got easier to breathe again. He just needed to forget about Dean and eventually he'd feel better one day. ~ A knock on the front door startled him out of his sleep and he got up to open it. He had fallen asleep on the couch, after he'd finished homework. "Castiel!" Charlie squealed and wrapper her arms around him when he opened the door. He smiled, genuinely smiled. Jess and Sam stood behind her on the porch. His heart sank when he didn't saw Dean. So much to forgetting about him. "First the movie, then dinner." Sam announced and pulled Castiel out of the house. "Sleepover at my place." Castiel's breath hitched. Shit. ~ The movie had been good and Castiel couldn't stop talking about it. He'd liked the plot twist and the acting and the actor had been hot as well. Charlie and him discussed the ending for, what felt like, seven hours and only stopped when they reached Sam's house. It was bigger than Castiel's and the garden was neat and colourful - someone took good care of it.Castiel could see Dean through a window, dancing with a dark haired woman. He swallowed hard. Why was he not allowed to have at least one good day? The girl looked a lot like the one from the party. It felt like ages ago, but Castiel still remembered everything perfectly. "We could watch another movie." Jess suggested as they walked up to the house. "Or play cards." Charlie intervened, too tired to watch something. "I got pot." Sam said and everyone stopped walking. Sam turned around and laughed. "What? We could try? Dean's done it before," he said as if it was no big deal, then pointed at Castiel. "Gabriel's done it too." True, but Gabriel's done a lot of things and was just lucky he always got away with it. Like that one time, back in their hometown, when he'd jumped into their neighbor's pool at night and swam a few rounds, or when he'd bought lots of sweets and candy and ate it in three days - sometimes Castiel wondered how his brother was still alive and hadn't suffered a sugar death yet. "I'm in." Charlie said and Jess nodded. "Okay." Castiel agreed, hesitantly. ~ They'd walked a bit out of their neighbourhood, into the woods, where they sat down. It was creepy as hell and Castiel felt like running away,
