I looked out the window, board. It's been a whole week since that call and for now I've been trying not to think about it, nor what I was planning to do for the last concert. I've been trying really hard to just live in the now and enjoy myself and the boys have been a big part in helping in that. They were still suspicious of what is was really going on but they have not bothered me about it, only their concerned looks tells me that they were suspicious.
"Hey." I jumped, surprised and startled. I looked behind me and saw Zayn.
"Sheesh, Are you trying to give me a heart attack? You creeped up behind me like a ninja." He just chuckled at me. I rolled my eyes.
"Sorry love. I didn't mean to scare you, I was only trying to talk. You do after all look really board."
"That's because there's nothing to do. How can you guys handle this, it's torture?" Okay, maybe I was being my over dramatic self again but still, I hate having nothing to do to keep me distracted. Nothing to keep me distracted from my thoughts.
Zayn smirked. "Well we're used to it by now and we try to make sure we always have things to do. Like reading, drawing, or making fake twitter accounts so we can talk to our fans without them knowing it's us." I nodded. I wished I had thought ahead and brought something to do. Maybe I could study animals like I always wanted to do. That should keep me plenty busy.
"Thanks. You helped me come up with an idea for something to do." I smiled at him. He smiled back.
"Any time madame." He tipped a imaginary top hat. I chuckled.
"Well I think that I should start on my new activity." He nodded his head in response. I got up and grabbed my laptop. I opened Firefox and searched chinchillas. I had always wanted a chinchilla as a pet so I might as well learn about them.
After a hour of research I had learned a lot. Stuff like they were originally from South America in Chile. And they wash their fur in ash, also their fur can not get fleas because it is so thick. The more I read about them the more I wanted to learn I mentally thanked Zayn again for giving me the idea to do this to pass time by. It was just the distraction I needed.
"What'cha doing?" Louis poked his head in. I looked at him with my eyebrow raised. He doesn't know about personal space, does he? I rolled my eyes and then turned back to my laptop.
"Nothing really, just looking up animals and learning about them."
"Are you really that board?" I turned to look at him. You think that after he went with me to the zoo he would know how much I liked to learn about animals.
"Really. I'm not board at all. I actually enjoy stuff like this."
"That's right, you must've had some really smart friends then."
"Actually me and my sis-... I mean my best friend and I were the exact opposite. She was smart but not nerdy smart. Her passion was music not school." I bit my tongue hoping he would ignore me almost saying sister instead of friend. You would think that I would be better at not making mistakes like this over the months I've known them but it's hard to lie to your friends who don't even deserve to be lied to.
"She sounds great. What is her name?" He asked, looking at me intensely but also looking truly curios. I slumped down.
"Her name was Alex Green." I said, not daring to look him in the eyes while saying it.
"Was?" He asked catching my mistake. I silently cursed my mistake. Now he is definitely going to be suspicious, that is if he wasn't already before.
"Yeah, she uh change it to ummmm Selena." I stuttered out, praying that he would believe the obvious lie.
"Oh, OK. So where is she now? I mean what exactly does she do?" He asked. I don't think that he completely believed me though. I know that I wouldn't believe myself either.
"Well she lives in California and is still in college." I said, quickly making a story up.
"So she didn't pursue her dream of becoming a singer?"
"No, she decided to teach music instead." He nodded. I sighed. "Look can we not talk about this anymore." I exclaimed startling even him and myself both. I looked down quickly making up yet anther lie. "It's just that talking about is making me really miss. We were really close you know." He nodded in understanding. "So was there a reason for you popping into my bunk and interrupting my me time?"
"I was seeing if you wanted company." He put his hands up in mock surrender. I giggled. And that's saying something because I never giggled. Not once in my whole lifetime.
"Well thanks for the offer." I said. He nodded. "So you know somethings about me but what about you?"
"What do you want to know?"
"Tell me about your family. What are they like?"
"Well I got five little sisters and a wonderful mom."
"What about your dad?" I asked. I hoped I didn't sound rude or anything.
"He left when I was little."
"Oh."
"Yeah, so you haven't told me about your parents other than they died in a car crash." I looked down.
"There's not much to say really, they were great parents, perfect even but once a tragic accident happened they changed. They would start talking behind my back and they could never meet my eyes. After a while I started to think that I had disappointed them, so even before the car crash I felt like I had lost them, like my parents were complete strangers." I told him. It was mostly true, the only lie in there was that they died in a car crash.
"I'm sure that they are looking down on you, proud of who you've become." He paused and asked so quietly that I almost didn't hear him. "You keep on mentioning this accident but you never say what happened. Are you scared to tell us or something?" I sighed.
"It's not that I'm scared, it's just hard to talk about, that's all."
"You can tell me. You know people say that it doesn't hurt as much once you tell someone." I know he was just trying to be kind but he was getting on my last nerve.
"I just don't want to talk about it ok.?!" I ended up yelling at him. He looked hurt. I needed some fresh air to clear my head. He was pocking at wound that is not even closed to healed yet and all that he's doing is making me think about it more. "I need some fresh air." I scooted pass him a walked out into the living room where everyone else was staring at me. I guess they heard me yell.
I walked pass everyone and went to the front of the bus. "Could we stop for a hour or so?" I asked the driver. She nodded her head and pulled over. I sighed in relief. "Thank you."
"Just be back in a hour." She smiled nicely and me. A faked a smile back and then exited the bus.
All around was hills and grass with no town in sight. I started walking in a random direction. I could not wait for the last concert already.
