Brooke's POV

I still cant believe what happened yesterday. The beating, Daniel, Thomas figuring it out and then comforting me. And it felt so good to be in his arms. Do I really want to do this? Actually let myself fall for someone, even if I thought I had feelings for Thomas why on earth would he have feelings for me. I still can't shake the memories of yesterday though...

Yesterday. I almost forgot about the family reunion!

We were supposed to have a family reunion, but ended up postponing it a day due to my aunt's flight not coming in on time. So, were having it today, great. Not that I don't like my family, but it seems like I am always fighting for their acceptance, and I know that is not how families should be. For one, there is always arguments at the reunion. They always go the same way every time. First, everyone comes and talks to everyone like they haven't seen each other in decades. Then we have dinner, not at the table just whenever its ready and the kids always break off into a separate room to play. Yep, you guessed it, its always my room. Then when every thing is done people leave and the last ones are always drunk.

So as you can see there isn't really any excitement in my family, well this is only my mother's side. My Dad's side is way better. I actually look forward to them coming into town.

I slowly get ready, knowing that my mother will barge in any second telling me to hurry up and get downstairs to help decorate a bit before I go to school. All we have left is three days of school, and I am thrilled. The only bad thing is finals. The second to last day is finals, meaning tomorrow. With the family reunion being today I don't think I'll be able to study as much as I'd like too, and it's tough because I have a lot of hard classes. Ugh, why does High School have to be so stressful!

"Ok Mom, what would you like me to do?" I ask walking up to her. She looks around with determined eyes before answering.

"I need you to just clean everything, its what you do best, and you'll have some time to do it when you get home. Since the party doesn't start until five." She says not even looking at me. "Oh and make sure you get to school on time, wouldn't want you being late and having to stay after school. Have a good day sweetie." She finishes as she walks out the door. I start picking up the house, leaving the deep cleaning for after school. Daniel of coarse is already at "school" though I know that it's just a lie to go to his friends house to ditch today. My dad is always at work, and that allows me to clean in peace.

During the fifteen minutes of work I have left, I decide to sing. To me singing helps take stress off of my mind. It allows me to let go, often music does this as well. So I sing my heart out. Random songs come into my mind and I just blare them out.

I hear a knock on the door, and pause my singing. Who would come to peoples doors at seven thirty in the morning? Slowly and reluctantly I go to answer the door.

Maybe I shouldn't answer it in case it's some robber or thief.  No I should answer the door.

"Thomas?" I say as the door opens to reveal Thomas standing there with his backpack on and a cheeky smile showing on his face. "What are you doing here and why?"

"Wow. Thanks for letting me know you appreciate my presence." He says frowning.

"No, sorry." I pause shaking my head and starting to smile. " I just thought you were some creepy person that comes up to random doors, but I'm glad it's you." I say and he smiles. "Come on in." I finish stepping aside and gesturing for him to come in.

"Gladly." He says as he steps inside.

"So please tell me why did you come over?" I ask continuing my cleaning while Thomas sat on the couch.
