*CONNOR'S POV*
I walked back to my car and stayed seated there for a while just thinking about nothing. I put my key in and started the car, heading towards the hospital. Emily still hasn't woken up, but I think the doctor said she would be fine. I parked in the parking and hopped out and locked the doors. I walked inside of the hospital walking towards the waiting room where my friends were still waiting. I sat down and everyone looked at me.
"So? How did it go?" Sam asks.
"Well...she told me that she said some things to Emily that afternoon and she said she was mean to her and said bad things about me because she wanted her to break up with me." Everyone looks at me confused. I sigh "She wanted her to break up with me because she liked me." I say and they all catch what I said and they are shocked I guess because no one says a word. There was a long silence until I decide to speak again.
"So I'm guessing she's still not awake..." I look at my friends sitting beside me. They shake their heads telling me no. I wonder when she will wake up, I want to hold her in my arms and tell her I love her. Oh and she'll probably ask me why I left for like a week. After the night we confessed that we were back together I got a call from my familly saying they were in town and they made me go over to spend some time with them. I haven't seen them for about 2 months and they really wanted to see me. I left in a hurry leaving Emily sleeping. I got to the hotel and I noticed I didn't leave her a note or anything. I reached in my pocket for my phone but it wasn't there. I forgot it in her dorm room. So that's why I couldn't tell her where I was. I'm sure she was really worried.
"I'm gonna go ask if I can go see Emily again." I say standing up from my chair. I look around for the doctor and finally find him so I ask him if I could go in to see Emily again and he kindly said yes. I walked to her room and opened the door slowly. I look at my beautiful girlfriend sleeping infront of me. I walked towards the chair that was placed beside her bed and sat on it. I took Emily's hand into mine and slowly rubbed it delicately.
*EMILY POV*
I opened my eyes and all I see is white... everywhere. I think I'm in a hospital because I can hear the beeping of a machine, I look down to my arms and see tubes and wires all over me. I kinda paniced because I dont even know why I'm in this horrible place. I try to think hard when I hear the door knob. Someones coming in. I close my eyes again and pretend I'm still sleeping. The person comes in as I hear their footsteps coming closer to me. I feel the person's presence next to me and then I feel a hand take mine and gently rub it. I wanted to open my eyes to see who this person was but I don't know, I just didn't.
"When are you going to wake up? I miss you." a voice speaks.
My arm twitches a bit as I wasn't expecting him to talk. I try not to move as I'm scared he noticed.
"Emily?" he says getting up thinking I'm starting to wake up. I'm trying to think how to wake up I mean I've been awake the whole time he was in here. Should I fake waking up, should I prentend I'm having a dream? I really don't know and it's stressing me out. I hear the beeping sound beep faster then before as my heart starts to beat faster. I'm stressing out now!!! Who I'm assuming is the doctor, comes running in.
"What's going on?" the boy beside me asks worried.
"She might be having a bad dream or something. Her heart beat is increasing.
"What do we do? Should I leave? Can we wake her up?" he starts asking all these questions.
"Yah, I think you should leave the room and when her heart beat slows down a bit you can come back in." The doctor said to him. I hear a door close and I felt the doctor and other people play with my wires and tubes a bit then they left the room. When I was sure there was no one in sight I sighed and opened my eyes. I looked around and I was already so bored. I've only been awake like 5 minutes?! I hear the door open again so I shut my eyes quickly and prentend I'm still sleeping. I try to not stress out this time or else the machine will start to beep fast again. I prentend that I'm sleeping and I turn on my side my back facing him on the chair.
"Emily?" he whispers, I don't answer. I open my eyes and wait for something to happen. I think I'm going to turn back towards him and then I'm going to pretend to wake up. Let's get this over with already. I turn around slowly to face him, as I turn I put a bit of presure on my arm and try to keep myself from shouting at the pain from my arm but I still let out a small whimper.
"Oww!" I whined at the pain. I sit up quickly making my head started to pound as I put my hand to my head.
"Woah, Emily!!! Lay down, relax, let me get you a doctor, oh my god!" He says quickly freaking out and he probably doesn't even know what to do with himself.
"No, Connor I'm fine, just my arms hurt a bit and my head is killing me now." My smile drooped at the end of my sentence as I realized he knows what I did to myself... He saw my sad expression on my face and his smile dropped also.
"What's wrong?" he asked talking my hand in his.
"Oh umm.. nothing.." I just answered so I wouldn't start this big discussion.
