The radio played in the kitchen as Connie moved about singing along. Sam stood in the doorway watching with a smile as she continued unaware of the attention she was receiving. She ran a hand back through her hair before placing the mug back down on the side.

Connie continued singing as flicked her hair back over her shoulder, spinning around until she faced the doorway where Sam was standing. She went quiet, her words stopping as he smiled wandering forwards. "Morning-" "Umm, hey..." She coughed covering up her embarrassment before he stepped around the counter behind her.

She released a breath as Sam wrapped his arms around her waist, his hands settling on her stomach. He placed a gentle kiss to her neck as she rolled her head back onto his shoulder. "I thought you were heading to work this morning?"

Sam lifted his lips from her skin to place his chin on her shoulder. "I was, but I thought I'd rather spend my morning with you. Did Grace go to school okay today?" She nodded turning around to face him resting her hands to his chest. "She was fine... We need to tell her soon, but as soon as we do that's everyone knowing."

He smirked re-wrapping his arms around her waist. "Mrs Beauchamp?" "Mr Strachan?" "Fancy a walk this morning?" Connie smiled nodding before he moved closer meeting her lips. The force of the kiss knocked Connie backwards slightly causing her to stumble until she reached the side behind her.

Moaning against his lips Sam deepened the kiss as her arms went up and around his neck pulling him closer. His hands fell to her thighs pushing up her legs causing her to smirk against his lips. "What about this walk?" Sam groaned looking into her eyes without moving backwards. "I'm just joking."

Connie gently tapped his chest before Sam picked her up from the floor causing a squeal to leave her lips. Wrapping her legs around his waist Sam wandered back out of the kitchen and upstairs towards their bedroom.

Placing her back down she walked backwards pulling him after her as his hands began running along the buttons of her blouse, undoing them one by one. His fingers skimmed over her skin causing her to shudder before his lips quickly replaced where his fingers had once been.

He pushed her shirt open running a hand down over her stomach. A slight raise, growing day by day with the slightest hint of beginning to show. Sam stopped what he was doing with a giant smile looking to her stomach again. Connie lifted her head to look down at him, watching as he became mesmerised by something she couldn't quite see.

Watching he caressed her stomach gently before catching her eyes on him. She laughed gently moving a hand to his cheek. "Always were so easily distracted-" "I never could focus around you... I guess I know why now." Connie ran her hand back into his hair as he moved a little further up the bed to lay beside her.

"I never thought you'd become sidetracked from where this was originally going-" "I can't help it, a baby Connie, can you believe that?" She laughed before he kissed her again both unable to help the smiles they wore.

Connie rolled onto her side, leaning into the kiss as her phone began to ring from beside her. She sighed beginning to break away from his lips before he pulled her back. "Sam... Mmm, what if it's important-" "What if it is." She rolled her eyes before investing herself in the kiss again.

Sam placed a hand to the small of her back pressing her to his chest. Her phone rang again as Connie leaned backwards trying to reach for her phone before Sam lay above her getting to the phone first. Glancing to the caller ID he saw the ED flash before pushing the phone into his back pocket.

"Sammhm-" Connie's lips were covered by Sam's as he pushed her back down onto the bed, moving to straddle her waist as the kiss became heated. He pushed his hands into her shirt slipping it from her body. Connie had her hands placed around his neck, holding on as he placed his hands to her waist.

Once again her phone began to ring, Sam ignored it while Connie pushed against his chest breaking from his lips. "Sam that's three times-" "Connie-" "Just give me my phone." Sam moved back onto the bed pulling her phone that had now stopped ringing from her pocket.

Connie sat up immediately as she looked at the call log. "Con-" "It was Grace's school." The worry etched on her face was obvious as she grabbed her shirt moving from the bedroom, Sam very quickly following. "Charlie?" "Connie where have you been-" "Please tell me everything is okay-" "You need to get to the hospital now, it's Grace."

By the time Sam had made it downstairs, he saw Connie standing frozen to the spot, her face pale. "Connie? Connie, sweetheart what's happened? Co-" "It's Grace." Panic seared through him as she remained where she was saying  very little. "Grace? What about Grace? Connie what is going on-" "She's in the ED, Charlie wouldn't say what was wrong. Why wouldn't they say what was wrong unless she wasn't okay."

Sam shook his head placing his hands either side of her body on her arms. "No, no, no don't think like that okay. Charlie is there, he'll be taking care of our baby girl." "But why wouldn't he tell me-" "Connie. Stop." She lifted her eyes to look at him and he noticed the tears that had built in those few seconds.

"She's going to be okay Connie." "You don't know that." Tears rolled down her cheeks as Sam moved from her grabbing her coat and the car keys from the side. "Come on." He took her hand leading her from the house quickly as they rushed towards the hospital.
