Life was, is, okay... I suppose. I'm still a bit shaken up by the Kara incident.
She left last week. I love her and all, she's great, but... I just don't like to think about what could have happened if she had found out.
*Shudder*
Right this minute, I'm studying with Luke. We have this English assignment, topic of our choice.
Luke, funnily enough, chose fish.
"Hey," Luke says, and I look up from my work. "This is interesting. It says here that fish can't breathe when going backward."
I look confused. "So why they are dragged backward through water, they drown. Something to do with their gills," He murmurs, lost in thought.
Okayyy then.
This stuff is nothing of interest to me.
I can't believe I'm sitting here, learning from a BOOK, when I could be seeing all this stuff first hand, for Christ sakes!
"I'm outta here," I say, getting up.
Luke looks up, startled. "What?"
"I'm gonna do more studying. More INTERESTING studying," I empathise.
"Okay. See you later," He says, giving me a quick hug.
And then I'm gone.

I didn't really want to do more studying, it's so boring. However, I know if I don't, then that's not fair on Luke, making him do all the work.
On the way to the beach, I stop off at my house, to grab my waterproof camera.
When I'm in my room, I see My Grandma's diary, sitting proudly on my desk.
I give it a quick smile, and then go.

The ocean's not too hot, and not too cold, just the way I like it.
I venture further than I would normally, more towards where the fishing boats are, because I figure that that's where the fish will be.
My moms a good photographer, so I'm naturally good at taking photos.
I take quite a few awesome shots of the more beautiful fish.
I switch off my camera, pleased with my work.
I sit back, watching the sun make the fishes scales sparkle.
Suddenly, I feel a yank.
My hands go to my neck, feeling the netting that's wrapped round it.
I twist around, trying to fee myself.
I'm stuck in one of the fisherman's nets.
The boat starts moving, and I'm dragged along backwards.
I choke.
I can't breathe.
I remember what Luke said, about fish not being able to breathe when being dragged backwards.
Everything is starting to go fuzzy.
I scream for help, but the sound is lost in the ocean.
I twist some more, trying to get free, only to get myself even more tangled up in the net.
Everything goes black.
