Chapter 16 - Hurt

                                    

                                          
Maddy’s POV
                          
I fly down the staircase with crying Gabby stumbling behind me while I hear Harry yelling at me to let it go. 
                          
“NIALL WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM, IS GABBY NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NOT POPULAR ENOUGH, WELL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T DESERVE-“
                          
I shove Niall up against the wall with my arm in front of his chest. I hear people shouting at me but I feel a hand cover my mouth and then 4 other hands grab me and drag me away from Niall. Gabby is sitting on the couch with Lou trying comfort her, Liam grabs Niall and takes him to another room. 
                          
Zayn pushes me onto the couch and forces me not to get up. “Maddie, stop!”
                          
“STOP GET OFF OF ME, ZAYN LET GO”
                          
Harry’s voice makes me stop “Zayn, Louis keep her here with Gabby and Lou Liam and I are gonna talk to him”
                          
“No Harry stay with Gabby and Maddie Zayn and I will go, Liam will throw a punch, if Niall really did hurt Gabby”
                          
Harry nods and takes over his position. 
                          
I see Zayn and Louis leave the room and a door slam behind them. I am so fucking angry with Niall. Harry sits down next to me and rubs my back.
                          
“We will sort it out alright”
                          
“How dare he hurt you Gabby, can you tell us what actually happened?”
                          
Liam walks into the room and sits down next to her on the other side, he lets out a frustrated sigh.
                          
“We went upstairs and got into bed, then he told me I was beautiful and he pulled me closer to him so that my head was resting in his neck and just as I went to close my eyes I saw something on his neck. A lot of things went through my mind as I examined it, I asked him what it was he said nothing I then shouted at him and told him to leave me alone and he said it didn’t mean anything. He admitted cheating on me and he had a fucking hickey on his neck”
                          
Lou stands and walks into the room with Niall, Zayn and Louis. I shut my mouth because I know whatever I do is going to make it worse. 
                          
Harry stands and sits next to Gabby in Lou’s spot Liam and Harry hug her and tell her it will be okay. To be honest I don’t think it will, Gabby isn’t one to just let things go.
                          
I look at my brother, boyfriend and best friend on the couch before I stand to go and have a chat to Niall. They don’t really realize that I have left the room because they are trying to make Gabby feel better.
                          
I shut the door behind me and see all 4 heads turn to me. Zayn calmly asks me to leave.
                          
“I promise I will remain calm, I just need to talk to Niall alone”
                          
“Maddie, you will make it worse”
                          
“Louis please”
                          
The room goes silent before Lou nods and leaves. Louis and Zayn hesitate but leave also. Once they are gone I lock the door behind me because I know what Harry’s reaction will be.
                          
“Niall I am sorry for before but why did you do it?”
                          
“I can’t answer that Maddie, because I don’t know why”
                          
“Do you even like Gabby!”
                          
“Yes, well I don’t know”
                          
“Wow, you made her happy for 5 years she loves you, I loved you too as a friend! You just lost that though”
                          
“Maddie, I needed to do what I had to do”
                          
“Who even is this chick anyway!”
                          
“She….she.. is a model”
