As Daikoku sat in the house of his missus, grieving his loss, he heard a childlike voice and small pitter patters. Then, he saw a pink head of hair pop out. 
                          
As he stared into the purple eyes of his master, and as she stared right back, she ran over and started patting...no...smacking his shoulder with the force of a god of death. 
                          
"Well hi there stranger! I don't know who you are, but I'm...I actually don't know who I am. Hey, stranger! Do you know who I am?" She cheerily said, and stopped patting his shoulder.
                          
Daikoku took a couple steps over to the little ball of energy standing right in front of him, and picked her up.
                          
"You're Kofuku Ebisu. I'll tell you your real name as soon as you grow up again, okay?" He agreed in a very soft voice, almost a whisper so he wouldn't scare her. 
                          
She nodded and giggled. "What's your name?" 
                          
"You don't remember me, but I'm Daikoku. You named me." 
                          
"Awesome! Will you take care of me?"
                          
His breath hitched, before he remembered that it was his duty to raise her.
                          
"Yes."

The day was lovely. Most of the clouds weren't in sight, it was warm, and not to mention that Yato wasn't even in sight! Yes, the psychopath had decided to leave you alone for the day, and you were happier than ever.
                          
Of course, you know he would be back, since he's obsessed with you. For now, you were content with being alone.
                          
As soon as you got to school, you felt the urge to visit the pool. Maybe it would be calm there. School doesn't start for another fifteen minutes. 
                          
As you stood there, staring down at the water, a few ripples were made in the water.
                          
"You're very pretty."
                          
You turned around, gasping and almost falling in, but her hand grabbed onto your wrist and pulled you back so you wouldn't. 
                          
"Who are you?!"
                          
She stared into your eyes, her soulless eyes piercing into you. She had multiple markings on her body. "Your eyes are pretty. They've seen so much, but yet you stay innocent. I see why Yato loves you...I wish he would use me to kill people, though..."
                          
"You didn't answer my question!"
                          
She sighed and walked forward, then pressed a hand to your chest.
                          
"Fall."
                          
She pushed you down, and you fell into the pool. 
                          
"I can't-!" As your back made impact with the cold water, the last thing you saw before you closed your eyes were the soulless eyes of the girl with the markings.
                          
Then, she was gone.
                          
"(Y/N)!"
                          
You heard the splashing of water before a hand grasped yours. Yukine's orange, concern filled eyes pierced a hole through your heart. He pulled you up to the surface, and held you close to his chest as you coughed.
                          
"Yukine.." A cough interrupted you. "I can't swim."
                          
"I could tell, from the fact that you didn't even try to resurface!" 
                          
He sighed before he continued talking. "Yato told me to jump in, because he didn't want to dampen his clothes. Such a lowlife.."
                          
You surpressed a giggle and glanced to the side. Yato was glaring daggers at his partner in crime. You waved his off and continued laughing with Yukine. 
                          
...
                          
"Yukine, I'm going to meet up with Bishamon. Stay with (Y/N)." Yato demanded before flashing out of there. 
                          
"Let's go visit Kofuku and Daikoku. I'm sure we owe them a huge apology for..." Yukine suggested before you interrupted him.
                          
"Let's go!" 
                          
The school day was over, so Yukine grabbed your hand and started running towards Kofuku's house. 
                          
Once you two knocked on the door, and Daikoku answered, he immediately drew a border line. "Stay out! You killed the missus!" He yelled. You saw the pink head of hair appear behind him, before her smiling face greeted you two. 
                          
"Dai-chan! Let them inn!" She whined. He sighed an allowed you two to pass. 
                          
You two sat across from Daikoku and Kofuku, and as Kofuku was all over you two in a blob of pink, Daikoku was glaring daggers. 
                          
Ah, you could only hope that Yato didn't find you two.
