~ Will ~

He watched Chiron, "Today will be the first full day." The centaur looked around at all the eating demi-gods, "For everyone." Some campers cheered. Austin nudged him, "That's too bad, you won't see him at the infirmary." Will shot him a look, "Shut it." Austin grinned as a schroll appeared in front of Will, he opened it.

There was more but Will stopped. Austin leaned over and read the schedule, "Yes." He turned back to the rest of his sibling, "We have music first!" They all cheered except for Will, he was no good at music. He looked over to where Nico di Angelo sat. The son of Hades was sitting alone at his respected table. He looked upset and was eating half of a banana. Will stood and walked over to him, "Morning!"

Nico looked up, "Hello."

Will sat down across from Nico, "Did you sleep well?"

Nico shrugged, "If you can count having terrible dreams all night as sleeping well, then yes I did."

Will winced, he knew that Nico had been through alot, the guy had made it out of Tartarus alive and then he'd been captured by giants, rescued and brought the Athena Parthenos to camp. He'd seen terrible things. If Nico had been having flashbacks of the past few months... Will forced a smile, "Sounds like fun." He grinned at the son of Hades.

Nico glared at him, "Well it's not."

Will swallowed, that look, that look of pure hate and anger. Will took a deep breath, "I just wanted to let you know that..." his voice faltered, he looked at the heavens, took a breath and tried again, "I've been meaning to tell you that I don't think it's your fault. About Octavian..."

Nico looked surprised, "Oh."

"I mean all heroes have an end, but it's the choices that they make that define who they are. Octavian, he chose to fire on our camp, he brought his own death upon himself. I wanted to tell you since it happened, but I never got the chance."

Nico's shoulders relaxed, "Thanks."

Will grinned, "Well good, now the air is clear between us. We might as well be friends."

Nico held out his hand, "Why not." Will's smile got wider, he shook Nico's hand and headed back to his table.

Friends. That was an accomplishment. And he wasn't upset about it either, being friends with Nico was much better than being disliked. Besides, maybe, Will hoped, they could be more that friends. Will sat on the edge of his seat, He said I wasn't his type... what had Percy meant? Will's head spun, he couldn't figure out his feelings for the son of Hades. Half the time he wanted to strangle him for being reckless, the other half he wanted help him and the othe-

"Will." A voice interrupted his thoughts, "Pay attention." Will sat up straight, "Sorry Woodrow." He tried for a smile, the old saytar huffed and continued his music lesson. Will stared at the guitar in his lap, what was he supposed to do with it?

You and the son of Hades are not so different as you seem, Thing that people had said to him over the past week tumbled around in his head, Do you want me to write the love poem? Not dead, just broken. He tried to sort out his feeling for the son of Hades.
