Friday comes and goes. At lunch I sit with only Luke, which was nice because I really got to know him. He told me about his family, stuff he likes and some childhood memories and stuff.
After school, I go to Jessica's to sleep over.
"So, how's your boyfriend?" Jess asks me.
"He's not my boyfriend Jess," I say, even though I would love him to be.
"Don't act like you don't want him to be your boyfriend. We all know it," she says, smirking.
"Shut up. Well, how's your boyfriend?" I tease.
"If by boyfriend, you mean Calum, then good. He's so cute," she says, dreamily.
"Aren't you and Luke going on a date tomorrow?"
"Yeah. I'm still not exactly sure what I'm going to wear," I say.
"Well, you can borrow some of my clothes if you want," Jess says. We are basically the same size, so we always borrow each others clothes. But hers are so much nicer than mine, so it's usually me taking hers.
"Yeah, that'd be awesome. Luke's planning on taking me out to a movie. So something casual, but not too casual," I explain.
"Easy," Jess says, opening my wardrobe and flicking through my clothes.
She ends up picking a plain white short t-shirt and washed denim waist high shorts. It's so simple, but really adorable.
"Thanks Jessie. I know I can always count on you when it comes to fashion," I say, hugging her.
That night, we watch some movies, talk about boys and school and do a mini makeover. Jess has always been the one who's good with beauty, boys and being social. I'm the smarter, quieter and awkward one. Jessica is really loud and confident, which is why she gets so many friends and boyfriends. But most guys don't see her for who she is. They see her for her body and looks. I'm not really pretty compared to Jess. Like I'm not ugly and not at all fat, I just don't stand out. Guys never seem to notice me because I come off as more reserved and quiet. But once you get to know me, or I feel comfortable with you, I don't shut up.
Jess and I don't get to sleep too late because I have the date tomorrow and I don't want to be too tired. We watch 3 movies which are Mean Girls, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Step Brothers. Luckily, Jess and I have the same taste in movies, so we can always decide on what movie to watch.
