Running through the forest at inhumane speed, Alice and Jasper fought to outrun the other as they were on a hunt, but all fun and games came to an end when the wail of a toddler was heard. "Maybe someone is out on a hike." Jasper dismissed. "No, Jasper it her." Alice said rushing to the cries.

For three years, Alice had been getting visions of a young toddler, in the forest, wrapped up in a bundle of blankets, and huddled under a tree for shelter. Leaves in her dirty blonde hair and dirt smudged on her silky smooth skin.

When Alice saw her, she knew. This was the answer to her prayers. "I can hear a heartbeat, but I smell no blood." Jasper said softly, watching as his Mate carefully took the child in her arms. "Jasper, we can't just leave her here. This could be our chance, our chance to have a real family." Alice said, her topaz eyes full of hope.

"We'll take her to Carlisle and see what he says, okay darling?" Jasper said. Alice cradled the small child in her arms earning a giggle from the small girl.

For years, Alice had been craving a family, one of her own. Someone she could raise and love, someone she could dress up and help get ready for first dates, school dances and prom.

Jasper looked down to the girl, locking eyes with her bright blue eyes, feeling  a tug at his unbeating heart, this was his little girl.

Off the the side, laid a lady. Laying in a puddle of crimson blood, watching as the couple walked away, cooeing at her daughter and her undeniable beauty.

"You will be forever safe now my child. My little princess of fire."
