I sat in the middle of a dark padded room. The only light source I had was one light bulb dangling from the ceiling. I've done it again. Only this time, I felt happy to be here. I didn't care that I was stuck in a room in a straight jacket. I made things right with Randy. I never thought I'd do crazy things for a man. But it just so happens, I have. I've taken the blame for their murders, even taken their prison sentence for them. I always thought that love was stupid. It was just about me. I thought that no man could change me, nor could they ever make me fall in love with them. Low and behold, I'm totally wrong. I was strong as a bull when it came to keeping my promise to myself. Now, I've fallen victim and I've fallen hard. There is still hope for me. I can get my life back. Hopefully, Randy and I can defeat Jon and continue to live the normal lives we once had. I saw a breach in the darkness of the room I was in. A man dressed in white walked in.

"Someone wants to see you."

He helped me up and out of my straight jacket.

"You're much nicer than the others around here."

"Why thank you." he said in a British tone.

"You're welcome."

He brought me out of the dark room. I was almost blinded by the light. It wasn't too bright, I just hadn't seen any light in over 8 hours. He brought me into a room with a table and two chairs. He sat me down into one of the chairs.

"Wait here." "She'll be here shortly."

"Wait who the hell is--." he walked out before I could finish my sentence. I wonder who this could be. Seconds later, a lady with black hair and a lab coat like I used to wear when I worked here stepped in. She sat down and placed a folder on the table. I looked at her and I recognized her face.

"Boss?"

"Sweetie?" "You don't work here anymore." "Call me Amanda."

"Sure." "Why'd you call me in here?"

"Answer me this question, Hailey." "Did I hear you correctly?"

"What are you talking--."

"Did I hear you correctly?" "You took the blame for Jon's murder?"

"Yeah." I sighed.

"And that's why you're in here?"

"Yeah."

"Well obviously, you had no idea what you were getting into or who you were getting involved with." "So let me shine a little light on it, because you seem to be still in the dark." "Correct?"

"May as well say."

She slid the folder towards me. I opened it and I couldn't believe it. Everything was there.

"Jonathan Good, age 30, and a menace to society." "You only heard his reason as to why he's here."

"Yeah." "He never verified it though."

"Well allow me to do it." "Mr. Good is wanted in 3 states for murder." "The last time we checked, it read he's committed 5 murders." "Of those 5, 2 of them were his own mom and dad."

"What?"

"Scary isn't it?" "He's supposed to be in this asylum right now but as you know, he escaped and we haven't been able to catch him since." "He's supposed to be here for the rest of his life." "Back to those 3 states I was talking about, those other two just want him behind bars." "We want his head."

"Okay, I still don't see what this has to do with me."

"You're gonna be our ticket to him."

"Excuse me?"

"Hailey, we're not gonna force you, because we won't have to." "Once you hear this offer, you'll be on board automatically."

"What offer?"

"I see I've grabbed your attention now." "I see that your release date is a little over 2 years from now." "What if I told you that we can get you out of here first thing tomorrow?"

"I'm listening." "Tell me what I have to do."

"You just have to do what you're doing now." "We've heard his threats, we know he's not gonna stop trying to get to you." "Which is why, he's gonna be so easy to catch." "He's wanted, he's wanted to be returned to this asylum once he captured." "Do you know how big your balls have to be, to willingly come into the asylum that you're wanted in?" "He's burned the limits to the ground and danced on the ashes." "Do this for your freedom, Hailey."

"So all I have to do is help you catch this guy?"

"That's right."

"I need a few more things before I agree to this."

 "And what are they?"

"I want my job back, I want protection, and I want Randy to be let out of here with me."

"Done." "You have to promise us a few things and one good favor for me."

"What?"

"You'll stay by Randy, he's only in here because his girlfriend left him." "He loved that girl and I know he loves you too." "He'll lose it if you leave him."

"No problem there."

"Another thing, no backing out." "I don't care if the going gets tough on you, you're sticking with us & this operation until he's dead or captured." "Understand?"

"I got it."

She stood up and pushed her chair up to the table.

"One more thing."

She slid me two pieces of paper.

"Here's everything you need to know about your new boyfriend." "Take it as a thank you present."
