Austin seemed nervous.

Like really nervous.

Oh, right. Lemme back track on the last couple of hours.

So we got to Austin's family lake house to, and I quote, 'forget for all the drama for at least twenty four hours'. It was a lovely place, and when I asked Austin why it lack some more furniture he told me that when he and his family came here they spent very little time in doors. They usually went out hiking, and then fishing at the lake, swimming and many other activities.

This place was where Austin's childhood had taken place. He had been smiling all the time about it while we had gone out hiking so he could show me around. We got to this really pretty clearing that was filled with different wildflowers where we stopped to have something to eat.

That place was really pretty, really calm. It reminded me of the one Bella and Edward got in Twilight though. Bit cheesy if you ask me.

We chatted about very trivial things, like school and college and what we would do after finishing university. Austin told me he wanted to work designing video games, something I laughed at since he had a bit of an addiction to them. I wanted to stay in Oregon, away from my mother and open my own veterinary, and also adopt a dog and a cat since I never had any pets.

I even got Austin to talk about how he felt towards his father cheating on his mother with my mother, and he was angry but that was all. It made me curious how unattached he seemed towards his parents after he told me the great childhood he had, and when I asked him about it he said that his relationship with his parents deteriorate a lot when they send him study abroad. I didn't question him any further.

After picking up everything, we went back to the house but decided to go for a swim in this pretty cascade that was near the clearing. We stayed there until the sun started to set.

It was when we were getting near that house that it suddenly started raining. And of course it wasn't a soft spray of water, it was as if an ocean was being emptied above our heads.

A bit cliché if you ask me, but hey, you can't really discuss with mother nature about this things.

We ran as fast as we could towards the house, and when we made it, we were already soaking wet.

Throwing the bags to a side, Austin went to a room and got us towels so we wouldn't spray water everywhere.

As I was drying my hair the best I could, I heard Austin hiss and when I looked up at him to see he was shirtless.

Gulping, I couldn't help but to scan his naked torso. I've seen him shirtless before, but it was just a sight I couldn't really fully process. Specially now when this drop of water was, apparently, travelling very slowly down his chest. It seemed to be inviting me to lick the path it created.

Damn, speaking about being wet...

Blushing at my severe case of very naughty thoughts, I shift my look to focus on Austin's face to see him staring at his hand.

"What happened?" I ask, trying hard to make my voice sound natural.

"I don't know how, but I cut my palm" he tells me as he walks towards the sink in the kitchen and washes his cut.

Slightly chuckling at his clumsiness, I walk towards him with some napkins from the table in hand.

"Let me look at it" I say as I stand behind him.

As he turns around to face me, the heat that his body radiates hits me with full force, making thinking clear very difficult.

Grabbing his hand in mine, I press the napkin to the cut in his palm.
