The rest of the day goes pretty fast. When I get home, I have nothing to do so I decide to call Jess.

"Hey, Jessica speaking," Jess says, finally picking up the phone.

"Hey Jess. It's Tessa. I was super bored so I just felt like calling you. How's things since I last saw you, all the way back at break time?" I ask.

"Things are amazing Tess. I sat with Calum in English and he's actually the cutest guy ever! He's so sweet and... ughhhh... I think I really like him," she says. I can imagine her smiling like crazy on the other end of the phone.

"That's so good Jess. And I can already tell he's not a jerk like all your other boyfriends," I point out.

Jessica's old boyfriends were all dicks. They ever had respect for Jess, they just liked her for her body and her reputation. I always used to warn her when she was with a dodgy guy, but she was always so love struck, so she wouldn't listen. But I know that Calum is nothing like those guys. He's a sweet guy.

"That's true. Anyway, enough about me, how's Luke?" She asks.

"He's pretty good. I'm really excited for our date on Saturday. But I have no idea what to wear. I'll have to ask him," I say.

"you'll figure it out. I'm really sorry Tess, but I have shit loads of homework and it's all due tomorrow. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Love you Tessa!" she says.

She always leaves her homework to the last second.

"See ya' Jessie. Love you too," I reply and hang up.

I can't stop thinking about what to wear on Saturday, so I decide to call Luke. He picks up after only 2 rings.

"Hi, it's Luke," he says.

"Hey Lukey. It's Tess. I was wondering what I should wear on Saturday," I say.

"Well, I'm not really a fashion expert, so..." he says.

"No, no, no. I mean if I should just wear casual clothes or not. Are we still just going to hang out at yours?" I ask.

"Well, I was thinking of asking you if I could take you to a movie or something like that. But it's cool if you just wanna stay at mine," he suggests.

"I'd love to see a movie! So casual but not too casual?" I ask.

"Sounds good," he says.

"So, how's things?" I ask, attempting to make conversation.

"Things are good. I just want it to be the weekend already," he says, practically reading my mind.

"Same. I'm excited for Saturday. It'll be fun," I say.

We talk for nearly 2 hours and then I finally realize the time.

"Lukey, it's getting late. I should probably sleep now, otherwise I'll be really tired tomorrow," I say. I didn't want to hang up because I loved talking to Luke. But I was getting tired and I needed sleep.

"Night night Tess. I'll see you at school tomorrow. Can we spend lunch with just you and me tomorrow?" he asks.

"Sure. I'd love that," I say.

"Cool. Okay, now get some sleep, little girl," he says.

"Bye Lukey. Love you," I say without even realizing. Oh, shit. I really didn't mean that.

"SHIT!! Sorry, I always say that to Jess when I'm talking to her on the phone! I didn't mean that! I don't love you. Well I don't not like you. Ughh... fuck. Night Luke," I fumble with my words and I can hear him laughing on the phone.

"Night Tessa. I don't not like you too," he says, still laughing.

I hang up. Well, that was eventful.
