Chapter 38: Great Siege Part 2

                                    

                                          
'Water Shuriken!'
                          
Greninja grabbed it's Shuriken from its back and released towards Empoleon. Empoleon took the hit but did not recieve great amount of damage. 'Empoleon use tackle!' 'Infernape, Mach punch!' The two grunts called out. Empoleon charged at Greninja from the front while Infernape went from the side. 
                          
Greninja waited last second and then disappeared from the spot. Empoleon tackled into Infernape while it punched Empoleon back. 'Hey guys cut it out!' The grunts shouted and ran towards their Pokémon. 'Game set and match,' Ash twisted his hat backwards, 'Greninja use water shuriken!' Ash shouted at the top of his lungs. Greninja cried in anger and grabbed the Shuriken of it's back. It held it in the air as it grew a size bigger. 
                          
'Oh no..' The grunts whispered as they looked at the giant shuriken aiming for them. Once it made contact there was a huge explosion. The Shuriken burst through the roof with the grunts and their Pokémon on the end of it. 'Hey get us down!' The grunt shouted at Ash but disappeared into the cloudy sky.
                          
Ash panted heavily and fell on his bum feeling tired out. 'Daddy?' Kaylin asked worriedly. Ash looked up and smiled, 'don't worry daddy is fine, just tired' Ash said breathing heavily. There was another explosion at the top of the tower. 'Oh no thats the others!' Ash said looking at Greninja. Ash told Kaylin to climb onto his back as they rushed to the top, as well as Pikachu in his hands. 
                          
'Clemont hang in there!' Bonnie cried from behind. Serena and the others were hiding behind a barrier as Clemont fought the grunt. 'Luxray use swift to block the shadow ball' Clemont commanded. Luxray cried and let stars fly out of his tail. The two attacks collided causing smoke to engulf their view. Out of nowhere the houndoom jumped and bit the luxray. Luxray screamed and was forced back into Clemont. The two of the crashed into each other and fell onto the ground.
                          
'Haha! Its over, use flamethrower' The grunt shouted. Houndoom smirked and released flames from its mouth. Clemont closed his eyes dreading the outcome afterwards. However nothing came and he saw Ash and Greninja standing in front of them. 'Ash!' Serena shouted and was about to run but Ash used a force to keep her back. 'Wait!' Ash said and turned his attention to Clemont. 
                          
'Thanks Ash!' Clemont said and shook Ash's hand. Ash smirked and moved out the way. 'Finish your battle' Ash said calmly and stood behind Clemont. While Clemont battled Ash scanned the area and found several grunts hiding and waiting to attack. Ash and Greninja disappeared. 
                          
'Luxray use thunder fang' Clemont shouted. 'Use your horns to protect' the grunt shouted back. The fire Pokémon leaned in as it's horns were bitten. The grunt smiled for a second but his smirked vanished as Clemont laughed. 'Now your stuck!' Clemont laughed, 'Throw him Luxray' Clemont said. Luxray spun the houndoom around and released him sending him crashing into the wall. It whimpered and gingerly stood on all fours. 'Finish it with thunder shock' Clemont pressed his glasses as he witnessed Luxray engulf the opponent in sparks. 
                          
Houndoom whimpered and fell to the ground unconscious and motionless. Clemont turned to the grunt and saw him unconscious as well. 'What the?' Clemont said. Then Ash appeared next to him while Greninja appeared, hovering over the unconscious body. 
                          
'Where did you go?' Calem asked as he came out of hiding. Ash pointed at the other 6 grunts who were lying flat on the ground. 'Brilliant!' Calem exclaimed and patted Ash on the back. 'Ash!' Serena shouted from behind and hugged him. She then released and hugged Kaylin tightly and picked her up. 
                          
'You two were safe?' Serena asked looking for any injuries. 'We are perfectly fine' Ash said smiling as he didn't get injured for once. 'Well let's get the prisoner and head back to the hatch' Sawyer said. Everyone nodded and untied the refugee from the ropes. It was a girl the around the same age as the others.
