Chapter 20

                                    

                                          
Bowser's POV:
                          
I wandered through the mushroom kingdom, looking for those stupid plumbers. I had already kidnapped Peach yesterday evening, so they must be searching for her. 
                          
"Bowser!" Mario gasped. 
                          
"There you are!" I laughed, taping his mouth shut. 
                          
Mario struggled in my tight grip, but I had managed to tie his hands and feet together. I carried the overweight plumber to the doomship. 
                          
"What about Haru and Luigi?" A koopa asked before they dragged Mari to the dungeon. 
                          
"I didn't forget about them, just worry about yourself, I'm saving them for later." Bowser explained, shooing the koopa away. 
                          
I boarded the doomship as we began to fly back to Darkland. I felt bad that I couldn't take Y/N, but it's not safe here. I was being a little over protective over her, but I had my reasons. I looked over the edge of the doomship, thinking about Y/N. She was all alone, left to take care of eight kids that she can't stand, and rule an enormous kingdom. But she at least had Kama to help her out. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. When I opened my eyes, we began to slowly land in front of the castle. I went into the dungeon where I had left Peach and Mario tied up. I untied Peach and tightly held onto her wrist. I threw the tied up Mario over my shoulder and entered the castle. I went down the stairs and threw Mario into a random cell and locked the Princess in one that was farther away from him so they couldn't speak to each other. A few koopas walked around the basement, looking at the prisoners. I went back upstairs and Y/N ran and jumped into my arms. 
                          
"Bowser!" She smiled. 
                          
"Are you alright?" I asked. 
                          
"No, I'm fine, but Haru is here. I can't find him though, he's been hiding for a couple hours." She explained. 
                          
"Where do you think he is?" I asked again. 
                          
"We don't know, I'm pretty sure that he's just lurking around here. We last saw him in the large hallway." She shivered. 
                          
"Maybe I should stay so we can-"
                          
"Yes! Please, please, please! Please stay Bowser! The baby is coming any day now, and I get paranoid about Haru. I miss you being here." She begged. 
                          
"Fine. But I have to leave the minute we catch Haru." I smiled. 
                          
"Thank you so much! Even though you were only gone for one day, I still really missed you." She pulled me into a close hug. 
                          
"Don't think I didn't miss you, I was the one who wasn't even at home." I sighed. 
                          
"I know, I know." She smiled. 
                          
I heard crying coming from the dungeon, as well as snoring. 
                          
"I'll be a minute, I gotta check on the guards." I murmured. 


                          
Haru's POV:
                          
I silently snuck into the dungeon and temporarily paralyzed the koopa guards. I looked around for Peach's cell.
                          
"Haru!" She exclaimed. 
                          
"Shhh..." I whispered.  
                          
I kissed her through the cell's thick bars. 
                          
"How will we ever get out? He's taking over my Kingdom." Peach frowned. 
                          
"That won't be an issue if we kill him."
                          
"We can't just kill him! He has hundreds of lives... He's never hurt any of us, just locked us up. When he used to kidnap me, I had the nicest room imaginable, all he wanted was my love. That's why he locked you away." Peach sighed, spinning her wedding ring around her finger. 
                          
"But, dear, he eats people! Y/N is our only daughter. We can never have another. Ever since the incident. She needed to rule the mushroom kingdom." I frowned. 
                          
"Incident?" Mario said, obviously confused. 
                          
"Well," I sighed. "Peach had her appendix taken out after she had fell out of a carriage, who's horses became out of control. She sued the company and made enough money for her surgery. I was never there, sadly. I was here. Locked away. For years." 
                          
Peach glumly slid the the floor and two small tears dripped down her face. 
                          
"Peach, dear, everything will be fine, I'll convince Y/N to come back and rule. We should first find her a husband, but who? Daisy hasn't gotten married, Rosalina has floating star children, and none of the other kingdoms have had children yet."
                          
"We'll figure something out." I assured. 
                          
"What are you koopas doing down here? All I hear is crying!" A deep voice scolded. 
                          
I hid in the darkness, avoiding his glance. 
                          
"Sir... We were attacked...." One yawned. 
                          
"By who?" Bowser asked. 
                          
"Haru... I dunno, I'm going back to sleep..."
                          
"Oh no you don't! Wake up koopas!" He yelled. 
                          
The koopas slowly rose off the ground and stood up, saluting to Bowser. 
                          
"Yes... Sir..." They yawned. 
                          
"Get back to work!" Bowser ordered. 
                          
Bowser walked back upstairs and slammed the door shut. 


                          
Your POV:
                          
You walked around the castle 's grand entrance as you heard Bowser loudly slam the door, startling you. 
                          
"What was going on there?" You asked. 
                          
"They were saying they were attacked. Must be Haru." Bowser guessed. 
                          
"Probably. We need to find him thought, but he only comes at random times." 
                          
"Then we will need to watch out for him." 
                          
"The only good thing to happen soon is the baby, but that'll be too much work." You sighed. 
                          
"I've raised eight somewhat good kids, I think nine won't be an issue."
                          
You gulped think about Roy calling you useless. You wanted to tell him, but that would be stupid. A child calling an adult useless is stupid, you were literally ten years older than him.
