Few weeks prior:

I lay on my tour bunk softly strumming my guitar as it rested on my bare midriff ;);) It was a free day today so we decided to chill out on the bus and head out later for some food and friendly game of bowling.  I was quietly interrupted by James pulling aside my curtain and shoving his phone in my hand. 
                          
"Yo dude! You gotta check out this girls cover of 'treat you better' it's insane" I watched closely as passion filled her voice and she sung every words full with emotion. 
                          
It was only a short cover since it was on Instagram, a minute or so but it was clear she was talented. I needed someone like her on tour with me, someone who would spice things up a little, change the expectations of the fans, you know what I'm say? So I decided to message her- after consulting Andrew fort, who was completely up for it.

I watched as she gently brushed a free strand of hair behind her ear and took a hold of the mic in her left hand. She bounced onto the stage with a bright smile greeting the crowd as she waved.
                          
Everything about her was so captivating. The way she moved, the way she looked, her bright eyes and her voice. She was perfect. 
                          
But she was never mine.
