Well, this is my third chapter. This is focused on Lazette and Josh, the endless teasing of the two. (*chuckles) I haven't thought of any new ideas for the following chapters. For that, I am sorry. Anyway, like I always say, I hope you enjoy reading this as I have enjoyed writing it. Happy New Year everyone!!! :)))

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Three weeks have already passed since Josh and Rose arrived in the manor. Lazette finally settled in a room just for her and it was in front of mine (it used to be our entertainment area). She still hasn’t spoken to Josh after what he did to her things. Josh acted as if he doesn’t care but I could feel that he’s affected. Speaking of Josh, he is now officially a transferred senior student in St. Paul’s International School for Young Men. It is an all-boys school also owned by the same person who owns St. Rose Academy, that’s why there are certain occasions when the two schools are partnered. Anyway, when I asked Josh why he wanted to study, he told me that he wants to experience one year in high school.  Rose, on the other hand, has locked herself up in the library. All the maids told me that she must not be disturbed for she is researching a very important matter. Well, whatever it might be, I do not care. I have already collected the books that I will be using for my plan to end my life. I have also been “locked up” in a room these past few days (in the basement) and I’ve been trying to brew a poison that can kill our kind. Unfortunately, the two poisons that I’ve recently made were unsuccessful. But, I still have lots of hope and I will not give up. I haven’t even started creating the better ones.

“Brielle!” snapped Lazette to me as she was trying to talk to me. I went back to my senses when she pinched my cheeks.

“Forgive me.” I apologized. I suddenly remembered an important to my new poison so I quickly jotted it down in my mini-notebook.

“Still brewing a poison, I see?” She asked as she takes a look at my notebook. She made a disgusted look on her face and bellowed. “Cockroach wings?!! Eww… That poison better work or else…” she did a shivered gesture.

I laughed. “So, what did you want?  You called me just now, right?”

“Oh. I was just going to ask something.” She handed me her textbook. “Should it be the first one or the third one?”

I looked to where she pointed. It was our review assignment in Politics class, Asian economy to be precise. I stared at it and answered. “Third one. The first choice is too predictable; no country will gain anything from that plan. Besides, it is going for corruption and no one would want that one, right?”

She nodded as she encircled letter c. “Thanks, Bri.” she went back to her textbook.

“Is it because the exam week is near?”

She nodded, her eyes still focused on the book. “I have to put extra attention now that we have additional classes.”

“You took all of it?”

“Nah. Just the Community Service and Politics. Oh, and Astronomy as well.”

“I didn’t know that you study hard…” interjected Josh. “I didn’t even know that you could read.” he snickered devilishly. The only problem I have with Josh (excluding his ‘I-love-myself’ attitude) is that he doesn’t know when to stop. Sometimes, (a lot of times) he doesn’t realize that he’s going overboard. Lazette and I did not react to what he said but she gripped her skirt, tight.

We arrived at our school several minutes later. Alex was about to step out from the car to open the doors for us when Josh said no. He was the one who stepped out of the car and opened it for us. A lot of girls watched us step out or should I say watched Josh open the door. Some whispered, “Who is he?” Others squealed, “He’s from St. Paul’s!!” and also, “Is he related to Brielle or Lazette? He looks cool!”
