-JO's POV
*RACE DAY SUNDAY*I know I need to do this. It's gonna make my conscience feel a lot better.
"Brad! I will be back in 20!" I yell. "Okay! See you when you get back!" He says and I walk outside towards a RV.
I don't really want to do this. But I know it's the right thing to do.
I knock on the door, and see a familiar face. "What?" He asks crossing his arms.
"I'm really sorry about everything." I say, looking him in the eye. "You know, I'm sorry too. If you are happy, then I should be happy for you." He says.
"Are we cool, Kyle?" I ask. "Yeah. We are cool." He smiles. "Okay. Well, I gotta get back, bye." I smile and walk back to Brad's RV and open the door to see a confused Brad sitting on the couch in his firesuit.
"Why so confused?" I laugh sitting next to him. "You were just at Kyle's?" He asks.
"Yeah." I say sighing. "Why?" He asks. "It has been eating at me. I had to be the bigger person, and apologize, whether I have done anything or not. I have to be on the right terms with people. And just because we are 'cool' now, doesn't mean we are gonna be close." I say.
"Jo, you are a strong person. It takes a lot of courage to do what you did. And, for the record, just because you two are fine now, I'm not letting my guard down when I see him around you." Brad says, protectively.
"So protective." I giggle. "I am." He smiles.
*5 minutes till green.
"DRIVERS! START YOUR ENGINES!"
"Okay Jo, make a good comeback! I've missed seeing you here!" Jamy says over the radio.
"Missed seeing y'all too!" I smile. "Kick some ass!" Aaron says making Jamy and I laugh.
"10-4 I will try." I laugh. "How is your foot?" Aaron asks.
"It's a lot better. Hurts a little, but nothin I can't handle." I say as I follow the pace car. I am starting 5th.
*40 into the race.
"Okay, I'm feeling a little loose." I say and adjust my track bar. "Okay never mind. Got it." I say and go around turn 2.
"If anything at all feels off, let us know Jo." Jamy says. "Jamy, how long have we worked with each other?" I laugh.
"Right." He responds.
*skip race.
"Toss me the chips." Bubba says and Brad throws Bubba the bag of Doritos.
Once I get settled on the couch, there's a knock on the RV door. "Ryan's here." I say and throw myself off the couch to open the door revealing Ryan, and Chase.
"Oh, hey Chase." I say and let both of them in. "Wow. Seem so thrilled to see me." He laughs.
"I am." I say nonchalantly. I throw myself back onto the couch next to Brad.
"I have an idea what we can do." Bubba says with devious eyes. "Oh no. Okay, I'm out. See y'all later." I say standing up from the couch and Brad pushes me back down.
"Not today, sweetheart." Brad smiles and I groan. "Okay. What's the great idea Bubba?" I ask.
"Truth or dare." He grins. "Okay. Bye guys! See y'all later!" I say and Brad holds me down. "Come on!" I squirm.
"It will be fun." Brad smirks. "Why do I feel like y'all plotted against me?" I say. "It's a possibility." Ryan laughs.
"Great." I say. "Who's starting?" I ask. "The oldest." Ryan says and I glare at Brad. "Oh. Must be me." He smiles.
