SOMEONE REQUESTED MORE MARIO, THIS IS KINDA LIKE THE GEO ONE JUST NOT SAD :))

"Hey baby, your daddy's coming home today." I whispered the cooing baby wrapped in my arms.

I pressed my forehead into his. He had Mario's eyes, and dark hair was growing from his head in wisps. His nose was like his father's too.

I held him closer.

Mario hadn't been able to be there when henwas born. It made it a lot harder, to not even have him there.

His mother was there, and my own mother. Mario's father and my dad stood outside.

Mrs. Selman had even stayed with me the past two months after she'd been born while Mario finished the tour.

She had already left to back to Florida this morning, to let Mario and I be alone with our son.

He'd met him through FaceTime, played songs for her and talked to her on the phone.

He called every day. I knew it made him happy and I knew he felt so guilty that he wasn't here with us.

Part of me wished he wanted to be here for me, not just for our son but I knew he missed both of us. I was listening hard to know when he came and I finally heard the key in the lock.

I slowly got up, hearing his bag drop to the floor with a loud thud before the low thuds of him gently putting his cases down.

I felt my eyes watering.

He was going to meet his son for the first time.

"Hi..." I said slowly walking into the foyer, holding him in my arms.

"Is that him ?" Mario asked, his eyes fixed on the baby in my arms.

I wanted to be sarcastic, to tell him no, the baby in my arms, the spitting image of him, was not our baby. But I just nodded, biting my lip to hold back the tears.

He sucked in a breath, reaching out his hand to stroke his cheek. He cooed happily reaching for him. I saw his eyes turning red filling with tears.

"You want to hold him?" I whispered as he knelt next to me.

His hand ran over my stomach, which had been big and round when he'd left but now no longer held our son inside.

"Can I?" He asked sitting against the wall. I nodded sitting next to him. I slowly handed him to him.

He looked so small next to his tall frame and big hands. He looked half in awe, and half like he hadn't realized it all yet.

"He has your eyes and nose and hair..." I said softly as he studied her. More tears came to his eyes.

"My baby boy..." He whispered to her pressing his lips into his forehead.

I felt a simple pang of jealously.

"I'm so sorry baby, I couldn't be there. It killed me. Uncle Jovani almost saw me crying as I talked to your mommy on the phone..." Mario whispered as the baby smiled at him.

His was bright and happy compared to him being emotional.
"I couldn't tell you cried..." I whispered wrapping my arms around my legs.

"Of course I cried. I'd left you with my mom while you were giving birth, which I can't imagine is easy and I wasn't even there. I wasn't there for you and I wasn't there for my baby. Honestly, I should've canceled a couple tour dates. Even if it wasn't for a long period of time, I should have been here." Mario said firmly sitting the baby's back on his bent legs.

"I wouldn't have let you cancel tour dates." I said shaking my head.

"Hmm... I missed you." He said turning to me. He leaned over to me brushing his lips over mine.

"But now I'm home." He finished with a smile.

"I love you." I sighed spinning my wedding band on my finger.

Suddenly, I felt his warm fingers against mine holding them and pulling my hand to his lips as he kissed the ring glittering on my finger.

"I love you more." He said with a warm smile. Our baby boy gave a loud coo bringing his attention back to him.

"What is it baby?" Mario said leaning toward her. He suddenly reached toward his lips, his fingers latching on Marios hair before he pulled. "Fuck!" He cried hurriedly getting the baby's  grip off and I took him.

"Yeah... He is starting to grab things..." I said, my point proved as he reached for strands of my hair.

"Gonna need to watch that... Little baby is pretty strong." He murmured checking his hair.

"I love him."

"I love him too."

"And I love you."

"I love you, too."

"We have a family."

"Welcome home."
