Karina watched as Luke landed the Falcon on a landing strip on the planet Coruscant. She looked to see a newly built temple; remembering the stories of when Darth Vader destroyed everything from the Jedi."My father used to live here, when he left Tatooine to become a Jedi." Luke explained as they walked off of the ramp.
"How do you know so much about your father?" Karina asked."Well, an old. . . Friend of his, told me a lot when I was becoming a Jedi." He replied. "Things he told me before I had to confront him myself."
Karina frowned. "That must've been really hard for you."Luke shrugged.
Karina could remember a lot of things about her former Master. But she was only focused on not allowing Luke to find out about the things she did, or who she truly was.
She was someone she never wanted to be.
"I myself have done things I've regretted." Luke spoke as they walked up a pair of stairs.
"You and me both." Karina muttered, frowning slightly. As they entered the large building, Karina looked around as children and adults of every age walked around, smiling and waving at Luke.
"Master Skywalker!"
A young boy ran towards Luke, and Karina stared as he hugged him.
"Hello, Jax." Luke laughed. "How's that blocking coming?""He blocked my hit!" Another boy yelled, causing Jax to grin.
"Keep up the good work."As they continued to walk through, Luke grinned.
"Lando!"A tall man with a blue cape turned, grinning back at Luke. "Luke Skywalker!"
The two hugged, and Karina smiled. "Boy, am I glad to see you."
"You too, Lando. Everything looks great around here.""Thanks to you." Lando replied, glancing at Karina. "And who might you be?"
"Karina." She replied. "It's nice to meet you, Lando."Lando leaned forward, kissing the woman's hand. "The pleasure's all mine."
"Hey, Lando. Have any of your men come across a new building and apparent group forming on Mustafar?"Karina swallowed as she heard Lando reply. "No, I haven't."
Luke stroked his chin. "Han said Chewbacca discovered it."
"Have you gone yourself to check it out?""No, I'm wondering if it was left over from the Empire."
"That's a possibility." Karina interrupted, the two men looking her way. "I've heard stories that they used to station there.""That's probably that, then."
Lando placed his hand on Luke's shoulder. "Come on, then. Allow me to give you all a tour before I head back to Bespin."Karina followed as they walked down multiple corridors, Lando being labeled a tourist by Karina.
"And this is the Training Chamber." Lando said, the three walking in. The younglings gasped, staring directly at Luke.
"It's Luke Skywalker!"
"Master Luke!" A young girl said, holding her lightsaber hilt in her hand. "Look at my new lightsaber!"
"That's amazing, but remember, safety first." Luke said, smirking slightly. Karina smiled at how vigorous he was with the younglings. She jumped slightly as a boy pulled her hilt out of her belt. "What's yours like?"
"That's actually's not mine." She lied. "It used to be one from the Empire."The younglings 'oohed', and Luke looked at Karina.
"Where did you find it?"
"On Dagobah." She lied.Karina looked towards the sky outside of the glass windows, swallowing.
"Luke?" She asked. "I don't mean to be a bother, but we should really get going."
"Oh, that's right." Luke said, turning to Lando. "We have to get out of here, Karina has a strict sleeping schedule.""Oh really?" Lando asked. "For what?"
She swallowed. "Training."
He nodded. "Well, hop to it then. Luke, stay in touch! Tell Leia I miss her humor and Han, well. . . I don't miss his humor."Luke laughed. "I will. See you around, Lando."
They hurried back to the Falcon, and Karina began to worry. She buckled in as Luke lifted the Falcon into the air."We'll be back to Tatooine soon." He said.
She nodded.Luke looked at her. "Are you alright?"
She smiled. "Of course. Lando seems very nice."
He chuckled. "He is, he's like our galactic comedian, besides Han."He caught herself staring at Luke again. What was it about him that caused her to be so dissimilar? She was attracted by how content and friendly he was with every one he'd speak to or walk by. That's all Karina had ever wanted in life.
But she never got it.
