Song, Story Of My Life, One Direction

"Oh! Let's get some ice cream!" My sister Alexa squealed running toward the ice cream truck.

I rolled my eyes but followed her anyways.

I'm in Texas right now on my break to visit my family, and Alexa and I decided to take a shopping day just the two of us. Paislee came too, but she was with her family.

"One chocolate chip, and one blueberry swirl, please." Lexa said to the cashier. I smiled at the flavor she ordered for me. I've been obsessed with the blueberry swirl, since I was 5 years old. I haven't had it in forever.

We got our ice cream and walked over to a nearby bench.

"So, how's being famous?" Alexa teased, with a small smile and a wink.

I smiled slightly, "Its pretty good, I guess." I teased back with a smile.

"This is so weird." She muttered looking ahead of us with a look, I looked ahead to see a pap taking pictures of us from behind an oak tree.

I sighed, I can never catch a break can I? I shook my head, "Do you want to leave?" I asked her.

She shrugged, "No, let's just enjoy ourselves." She sent me a smile, making me feel a little better about the situation but still quite peeved about it.

I saw she seemed a bit off which worried me.

"Are you okay?" I asked her causing her to snap her head toward me.

She cleared her throat, "Yeah, why?" She asked curiously.

"I don't know, you seem upset." I said with a shrug.

"I just," She paused turning to face me a bit more, " I just dread the day you leave. It's weird not having you here with us all the time and we're on different times, and I always have to make sure you're not in an interview or something." She finished, leaning over to throw her empty ice cream cup in the nearby trash can.

Guilt washed through me like a waterfall. How could I have been this selfish and blind? I've been so caught up in my own life to worry about how my family felt about it all. Especially Alexa.

"Stop," She demanded pulling me out of my guilt ridden thoughts.

I sent her a look full of confusion.

"Stop feeling guilty for following your dreams." She finished.

I sent her a small smile, wrapping my arms around her in a hug.

"Let's head home." I said as she nodded. We threw our trash away before making our way home

"So, Mother, Father, I've been thinking," I started, sending them a smirk, knowing they hated when I called them by those names.

"Oh no, what now?" My mom asked me with a small smile ghosting on her face. I rolled my eyes, my mother is obviously a smartass.

My dad laughed from his position on the counter he had been sitting on

"Sorry sweets, what is it?" She asked me.

"I've been thinking, Alexa is being set off on winter break soon, and I'm going on tour soon. So, I was thinking what if she were to come to LA with me for a bit before Christmas?" I asked with a pleading look.

Paislee and I have talked about this a few times, and we thought it would be nice for her to get away and have fun in LA with us for a bit.

"Wait, you want her to go back with you?" My mom clarified sending a look to my Dad, who seemed to be deep in his thoughts.

I nodded in response at my moms question.

"I think it would be good for them." My Dad chimed in. I nodded with a smile, bouncing on the balls of my feet in excitement.

"I say, yes." My Dad said nodding. I yelped running over to him and wrapping my arms around his waist in a tight hug, almost making him fall off the couter.

I looked toward my mom seeing the skepticism clear on her face.

"You'll be safe and smart?" She asked. I nodded with a wide smile.

"Fine." She caved. I jumped up running over to her and wrapping her in a hug.

"Thank you, thank you!" I said with a smile.

"Yeah, yeah. Does Lex even know?" She asked, making me shake my head, no.

"I'll tell her tomorrow." I said shrugging with a small smile.

She had gone to bed right after dinner claiming to be exhausted, so I didn't want to disturb her.

"Okay, honey we are off to bed. Goodnight sweetheart." She kissed my cheek followed by my Dad. I muttered something back before heading up to my room.

I laid back on my bed with a small sigh.

When we left Texas my parents kept the house, but when they came back I expected my Mom to change my room to something else but she told me she wasn't going to touch it. I didn't expect her to actually do that though. My posters were in the same place as I left them, my furniture hadn't been moved. I could tell she had come in to dust it every once in awhile, but other than that it hadn't changed. My bed still had the same comforter I had fell in love with when I was 16 at some small store I forgot the name of.

My reminiscing thoughts were put to a stop as my bedroom door was opened and my best friend came barreling in to my bedroom making me jump.

I sat up, "What are you doing here?" I asked her.

She groaned before falling face first on my bed, "Parents." Her muffled voice was heard.

I nodded in immediate understanding.

You see, her parents aren't completely supportive of her life decision. They expected her to be a successful doctor like they are. But she wasn't into that, she wanted to be a dancer. So you can believe they rose hell when she moved to LA with me to be a dancer on my tour. Now every time they talk on the phone or see her they always drop hints of there obvious disappoint on her life decisions.

"What, now?" I asked.

"Telling me how disappointed they were in me. The usual." She shrugged.

I grunted in annoyance. I hated this for her.

"I spent my whole day at the hospital with my mother. The whole day she kept asking me 'isn't this fun?' I almost stabbed myself with a scapal." She said, making me chuckle.

Her Mom was a heart surgeon.

"Want to spend the night?" I asked already knowing the answer. She immediately nodded as a yes.

I got up and walked out the door almost tripping over her overnight bag that she must have left in the hall before coming into my room. I laughed and made my way downstairs.

When we were still in high school when one of us was upset we always ended up at my house or hers eating junk food and watching movies.

I made my way into the kitchen grabbing candy out of my mothers not so secret candy cabinet, and chips from the cabinet next to it, I made my way back up the stairs after getting some Sunkist from the refrigerator.

I walked into my room seeing Paislee already in her pajamas and the background music from our all time favorite movie 'The Lion King', judge all you want but don't lie to yourself, it is the best Disney movie of all time.

We sat on my bed and she pressed play.

Okay, I'm so sorry this took so long, and my laptop broke and I've been so busy with school and work. This chapter was more of a emotional background of Paislee and Ariella. Niall and the boys will be in it more from this point on so don't get your knickers in a bunch ;)
