Scorpius's POV

Rose stood next to her desk, book open as she tried to drink in as much of the soy as she could, before he had to go. The bell had rung ages ago, and now, most people had left the classroom.

I watched her for a Long moment, before finally deciding to call, "Weasley."

She glanced up at her name. Her eyes locked with mine.  Milky brown eyes.

"Malfoy," Her voice was toneless as she slipped her book away. Those eyes had casted towards her hands again as she packed, voice placid. "Do you need something?"

"We need a new place to do our sessions," I said. "Yesterday in the Library was bloody boring."

     Except for that moment.

Rose paused, and took a deep breath. Like she was trying to stay calm.

"Okay then, Malfoy —" his name was a poisonous zap "— where do you suggest we do it?"

She planted her hands on her hips.

     Good question.

I spent a few moments thinking. After a Long while, my face brightened. I turned to her, "The Quidditch Field."

Her arms dropped back to her sides. She stared at me like I was a moron, "Like hell that's happening. You're distracted enough as it is. Tonight, it's the same time, same place."

She tried to leave but I grabbed her small wrist. Her head whipped to look at me, eyes wide. Her skin tingled where it touched mine.

"I'm serious," I said. "I think I'll be able to concentrate better if I'm in a more recognisable environment. We'll do it tonight you think I work better, we continue. And, if not..." I waved a careless hand, eyes rolling "...we'll go back to working in the dead Library."

"We won't be doing anything without McGonagall's permission," She leaned forward as she said this, her large brown eyes sparking with challenge. "Who even says we're allowed to be out there at night?"

There was a moment as this sank in. I stared at her, my expression slowly shifting.

I did not think of that.

She read the thought right off my face, I'm sure, because soon her own expression contorted. We stayed standing there, both firm, neither of us willing to stand down. My hand still clasped around the small of her wrist. Silence swamped us.

The look in Rose's eyes broke, "We're going to be late for class," she whispered. The classroom was dead empty now, apart from the two of them.

"I'm not going anywhere," I told her.

"You're holding me captive here?" She questioned, one eyebrow arching with challenge. "That's kidnapping."

"It's bargaining," I corrected. "Meet me at the bleachers tonight ... or else you, my dear Rose Weasley, will have a record."

If it weren't for the nervous blush on her cheeks, her ferocious expression might have scared me.

"I'll tell somebody about this!" She was shouting now. "You can't keep me here!" She tried tanking at my grip, but I fastened my other hand around her.
