LITERALLY SAYS
UNAFRAID OF TOIL
❁❃✧❀✿

The sun shone blindly through the stone arches of Hogwarts castle. It's golden rays cascading a euphoric light amongst the chattering students on the Second of September, 1977.

Talk of Summers and inevitably approaching tests filled the high and mighty walls, kids of all ages and sizes reunited with each other pulling one another to classes, but as always one had stuck out in particular.

Her light brown hair was pulled loosely into a bun as small peices fell out framing her angelic face, her green friendly eyes greeted everybody she passed with a bounce in her step and introducing herself to the new first years.

The sun cascaded over her black and yellow robes and her perfectly white teeth, everybody knew the benevolent and beautiful Hufflepuff, Juliette Collins was simply unforgettable in every way possible.

"Hello! I'm Juliette, what's your name?" The bubbly 16 year old asked a first year with wide eyes.

"Erm- Terry Arlington" The red haired Ravenclaw stammered.

Juliette grinned and out stretched her hand "I'm Juliette Collins, 6 Year Hufflepuff prefect, pleasure to meet you! Have an excellent first day!"

And with that she bounced off to the next group greeting them with the same breathtaking grin that never left her face.

The dungeon seemed so much brighter as the gleeful Hufflepuff graced the stone bounding into her potions classroom.

"Good morning! Professor Slughorn, how was your summer?" Juliette asked. The pudgy man blushed "it was lovely miss. Collins, I can expect yours was brilliant?"

The light brown haired girl just nodded enthusiastically "why of course Professor" then she went and took a seat in the middle next to a lanky boy with dark brown hair and identical green eyes.

"Hello Parker, what's your schedule?" She asked her brother. He handed over his time table lazily with his head resting upon his fist, though he was kind and outgoing he wasn't nearly as enthusiastic as his sister,
Then again nobody was.

"We have an obnoxious amount of classes with the Gryffindors this year" Parker noted tiredly taking out his parchment and ink jar.

Juliette was about to respond when the door was flung open dramatically and in walked the most loud, popular, rambunctious cocky and mischievous Gryffindors in history

This group was the Marauders.

Everybody in Hogwarts knew their names, they were simply legendary. Their infamous pranks set them apart from everybody else, they charmed their way out of trouble with a chivalry smirk and boyish grin.

At the lead of The golden group was James Potter, his hair as black as the ink in her brothers hand, his eyes were this hazel color that had a peculiar never ending light and joy that adorned his childish grin oh so well, he was known for his contagious laugh and fun aroma, Jame's heart was undeniably taken by a fiery red head by the name of Lily Evans who had never taken any interest in him.

Sirius Black was Potters right hand man. Every girl fell at his feet with hopes to fall into his bed. His long wavy hair was a dark brown and his eyes were the color of the craters on the moon, his maroon tie that hung loosely from his neck smelt of Cigarettes and freshly boiled tea, Sirius black was astonishly unique, he was the only one in his bloodline to not be sorted into Slytherin and had run away from home during the summer. But still, his plump skillful lips always wore a charming smirk that threatened adventure and joy.

Remus Lupin was not nearly as built as the other two, he was long and skinny with light brown hair that resembled Juliette's. His shoulders were always clad in knitted sweaters and breathe smelt of warm coffee. His attire and smart head full of books and knowledge gave the impression that he was the most level headed of the group, but his warm chocolate brown eyes shone in a way that told the world he was just as troublesome as his bestfriends.

Then their was Peter Pettigrew. He was noticeably shorter than the others, his dirty blonde hair fell in tideous clumps on his head and dark blue eyes calculatingly scanned the room. He would go with anything the other three did no matter how dangerous or completely idiotic the task was.

Together the quartet was never to be forgotten, they were more than a group of boys, there was always something more to them that everyone envied, perhaps it was the loyalty and thrilling memories.

"Professor! isn't it such a perpeculous day?" James asked taking a seat at the front of the Class with Sirius right beside him.

"That isn't a real word, Potter." Lily snapped.

"Maybe you can teach me some fancy words on a date, Evans?" James asked hopefully his hazel eyes wide.

The entire class sighed in annoyance already knowing the outcome, it had been the same for 6 years after all.

"No, Potter. I would rather drop dead." The red head replied hotly taking out her potions book.

Professor Slughorn joyously started the lesson after that. He gave a speech of all topics they would be learning, with an exception of his typical story of how his summer was from start to finish. He was a kind professor who played favorites and had an uncanny habit of rambling when given any opportunity too.

"Felix Felices  is my favorite! Can anybody tell me what it is?" Slughorn asked. Two hands went flying into the air, Lily Evans and Juliette Collins.

"Ahh yes, Juliette"

the grinning Hufflepuff answered promptly.
"Felix Felices otherwise known as Liquid Luck is a complicated potion that once ingested, will grant the occupant luck with any ambitious endeavors, only until the effects wear off which is anywhere between 16 and 24 hours depending on the individual"

The professor clapped eagerly "yes! Excellent! 10 Points to Hufflepuff!"

"Good job Jigglypuff" Sirius Black snorted.

Juliette frowned "that's not very nice and highly uncalled for"

He looked over his shoulder at the girl with his teeth pulling his heavenly lips back from smiling while James snorted besides him immediately being reprimanded by Remus Lupin.

"Perhaps I prefer Jigglypuff, what are you going to do about it? Ruff me up?" The marauders all let out laughs as if he had just said some pun that nobody else understood.

"In our houses anthem from the sorting hat it literally says 'unafraid of toil', I haven't any idea as to why you insist on bashing Hufflepuff" Her warm green eyes slightly narrowed and pink lips were pursed.

The entire class watched the exchange between the two. "Does it?" The grey eyed, king of a man asked.

"It does." Juliette clarified

Slughorn nervously cleared his throat "um- if we could please continue with the lesson plan"

While he delved back into his 'absolutely extraordinary' summer Sirius continued staring at the yellow clad girl, sending her a wink then turning to James and Peter indulging in what appeared to be a humorous conversation.

It was a mundane start to what would be an unforgettable story in years to come, The opening line on the worn out pages blasting like a trumpet call

'Two unlikely people, one with the soul of a storm and the other with lips like honey, oh how bitter sweet their love was soon to be.'
