Chapter 18

                                    

                                          
We were tied. We just needed one more point to win. The adrenaline was coursing through my veins. The ball was set over the net comming straight towards me. I jumped up and spiked it back over, it immediately going to the ground on their side. My school erupted in cheers. The biggest smile was plastured on my face.
                          
"We won! Whooo!!" I screamed. I was lifted off my feet by my team. They are some strong girls i'll tell you that right now.
                          
"We did it!" Amber yelled causing me to laugh and nod my head in agreement. The girls walked over to their families. I walked over to mine. My parents engulfed me in a hug.
                          
"We are so proud of you honey." My mom gushed.
                          
"We knew you could do it." I smiled and pulled away. My parents are so supportive.
                          
"Aye thats what im talking about Jenna!" A loud voice shouted from the top of the bleachers. I looked up to see Taylor pointing at me. The guys all stood up and ran down to me. They all crowded around me hugging and cheering.
                          
"That's my bestfriend that's my bestfriend." Johnson said as he hugged me. I laughed and shook my head. After I hugged everyone there was one left. Nate. Our friends stood to the side quietly which confused me. Nate turned to them.
                          
"What are yall waiting for?" They shrugged and continued staring. Nate just rolled his eyes and gave me a hug. 
                          
"I knew you could do it." He said as he pulled away.
                          
"I ship it." I could have sworn I heard Nash say. I looked up at Nate who seemed like he was about to say something, until he was interrupted by a horribly familiar voice calling my name. Nate turned around, and you could physically see him tense up. Sammy, the Jacks, Dillion, Swazz, and Derek came and stood next to me. Everyone else stood to the side confused. I took the time to take in his appearance. He looked thinner than before. He also had dark bags and looked as if he's got no energy to do anything.
                          
"What are you doing here Christopher?" He sighed and walked closer causing the guys to shift towards me.
                          
"I just want to talk. Please?" I know that I probably shouldn't talk to him, but, he doesn't look like he'd do anything. I placed my hand on Nate's shoulder. He gave me this crazy look.
                          
"Your really gonna talk to him after what he did to you?" I looked down causing Nate to scoff and walk away. I sighed and walked over to Christopher.
                          
"What is it?" He sighed and refused to make eye contact with me.
                          
"I wanted to tell you how truly sorry I am. For what I did to you. I didn't know what was going through my mind. But I haven't been able to function knowing that you don't forgive me and that you probably hate me." I sighed and placed my hand on his arm.
                          
"I don't hate you Chris. And if my mom taught me anything, it's to forgive people, no matter what they do to you. So I forgive you." Relief washed over his face as he finally looked up at me.
                          
"Really?" He asked. I nodded, and he let out a breath of air. We stood there not saying anything.
                          
"You should probably get back to your friends before they kick my ass again." I nodded. I began to walk away before he grabbed my arm.
                          
"He loves you. I don't know if you see it, but it's clearly visible." I gave him a confused look, even though I knew he was talking about Nate. I just gave him a small smile and walked back over to my friends.
                          
"What did he want to talk to you about?" Sammy asked.
                          
"He just wanted to apologize." Sammy was about to say something before he was cut off by Johnson.
                          
"We need to go if we want to get up to the woods." I raised my eyebrow in confusion.
                          
"Why are yall going to the woods?" 
                          
"We're going camping and your comming." Gilinsky said.
                          
"Woah wait. I didn't even pack. And it'll take me at least an hour to pack enough for-"
                          
"Already got you covered sis." Justin said with a bug smile on his face. I laughed slightly and shook my head.
                          
"Let me change my clothes."
