I find myself at the nearest watering hole in an attempt to drown my sorrows. It's a dark, broody little dive, the perfect complement to my current mood. I keep my head down and stay quiet, but it isn't long before my presence sparks someone's interest. 
                          
"You look mighty lonely over there all by yourself," a voice pipes up from the other side of the bar. She's most definitely an iOS update. I can tell by that effortless style and sleek professionalism. She bites down on the cherry from her cocktail. "Someone standing you up?"
                          
"No," I say quickly, "I mean yes, maybe. I need my update," I confess sadly.
                          
"I'll give you one, hun, if you ask me real nicely." I meet her eyes again and she smiles. She doesn't wait for my answer before sliding up to the seat beside me and reciting 6.11.0 softly into my ear: "It's now easier to share user profiles when you take screenshots. Opening a deleted story part will no longer reset your reading position, and a new badge on the Library tab now shows you how many of your stories have new updates." 
                          
I want to cover my ears and pull away, but I have a sworn duty as a Note to deliver information by any means necessary! When she's finished she taps my nose with her long, delicate finger. "That wasn't so bad, was it?" 
                          
"No," I say, "I mean yes!" I have a sinking feeling in my gut and I can't help but wonder what the Update is going to think of me getting my information elsewhere. But I don't have to wonder long because the door swings open and in walks that familiar face, all twisted up in anger, as he makes a beeline towards us.
