Crunch crunch crunch. One step after another, carrying me far away from Sans. My eyes glared at the ground, so that I didn't hear the approaching enemy. "Hello! Who are you?" My eyes shot up, wide and fearful. My feet moved on their own, throwing me three steps backward. I looked at the looming figure of a tall skeleton. His words were sharp and scratchy, as they echoed through the empty blackness of the leftover Snowdin. "M-Me?" I stammered out, it had to be me, there was no one else for it to be. "Yes, you look very peculiar. Certainly not from around here?" It sounded as if it was a question. "No. I'm not from around here, and I don't plan on staying." The statement had come out more forceful than I had meant it to. The tall skeleton only seemed to want to bring kindness to me,  much like Sans had. I began walking, being sure to create a large half circle around the skeleton in my way. After walking a few steps I heard the skeleton say, "I'm Papyrus." I turned looking unamused, "And?" I asked, before receiving no reply. Papyrus seemed to need to think for awhile, "Well, who are you?" I chuckled at him. "No one, but if you need a name, y/n." My words felt chalky and dry of emotion. "What a lovely name, y/n. How it rolls of the tongue!" Papyrus seemed to loose himself in the moment, gaining questioning glances from me. He eventually came back to his senses after babbling about how no one knew every came to Snowdin alive. "Would you, hehe Y/nnn, like to come to my home in Snowdin for fun and safety?" I smiled at the tall lumbering skeleton, "Sure Papyrus." Papyrus almost glittered in happiness, he scampered towards me. Scaring me backwards, but he then gently took my hand to lead me into Snowdin.

Snowdin seemed empty, desolate even. Not a trace of life littered the streets. Stores and houses were boarded up, shut tight, so no one could enter or leave. The only small glimmer of hope for life, was the sound of someone crying, it was quiet and desperate, but no one helped them. I clung closer to Papyrus, it was scary for me. I thought he meant a town with people, not a town of dust. Papyrus lead me to the only house without boards across the doors, but all the other parts matched. Busted windows, broken holes, partly opened roof, boarded window lined every house, including Papyrus'. He unlocked the door with a key, before pushing it open, but the door was broken to the point it was about to fall of it's hinges. "Papyrus?" I asked as he brought me inside. "Do you know the skeleton that's by the Sentry Station near the Ruins. Papyrus nodded his head furiously, "Yes, Yes he is my brother Sans. He is such a bother. Did you meet him?" I gulped nervously at Papyrus declaration of his and Sans brotherhood. "Y-Yeah, I meet him. He sort of tried to kill me." I stuttered, fear rising through my body. "Talking about me Sweetheart?" The deep voice behind me, sent dark shivers through my spine. I swung around to shove Sans away, but he wasn't there. Looking rapidly around, my eyes met his. Sans stood snickering beside his brother. "Sans! Do not tease Y/n. She is new, and I like her." Papyrus went from a yell to a mumble. Trying to disguise his voice from me, but failing drastically. "Yeah, She's pretty cute for a half dead kid." Sans replied, gaining an angry snort from Papyrus. "Not like like, just like normally, as a friend, nothing more." Papyrus argued, correcting himself and re-correcting himself. I felt a small blush rise to my cheeks, Sans thought I was cute. He wasn't half bad for only having about a third of his skull intact.

After spending a bit more time with Sans and Papyrus, I learned more about the pair of brothers. They still weren't  completely sane, but their situation seemed dire enough to push anyone to that state of mind. They were starving, locked away in this cave. It seemed it had been many years since anyone in the underground had seen the light of day. I looked at Sans as he sat lost in thought at his station, I myself was as lost as he was, but in a different way. I was lost mentally. I had the urge, the need, to kill. It felt wrong as I tossed the thought back and forth in my mind before finally settling on sneaking away into the dark to hunt someone down. The need had only come after the murder of Toriel. I missed her, but her look of fear as I took her life gave me adrenaline like no other. I had come to find myself already far away from San's sentry station, heading in the direction of what I assumed to be Waterfall. At least that is what Sans said it was called. It was just as empty as the rest of this horrible place. The only person that seemed to be out in the open was a child. It was a dinosaur like creature with no arms, a helpless victim to me and my knife. I felt the prickles of excitement run down my spine and into my arms. My body responded by moving closer. My thoughts and doubts were closed off, leaving only my animal-like instincts, and a dreadful need for blood. My footsteps echoed throughout the cave, the child's head snapped up, revealing bandages covering their eyes. "Who's there!" The child screeched, rising to it's feet, stumbling a bit, but still making it up. My heart rate was rising higher and higher, forcing myself to move again, but more silently. "Nonono. I hear you." The child hissed, "Don't come closer." I continued, as fear, anxiety, eagerness, and confidence all swirled together in my mind. "I said no!" The kid yelled, my eyes grew sharp, glaring the child down. Their small shaking body bringing a sharp laughter to my lips. The managed a few steps backwards, "Please don't." The child's voice broke, showing the fear they feel. It brought me the adrenaline I needed, sending my feet into a scurry to catch him. The child began to run, but not before I reached him. I kicked him in the back, forcing him to let out a scream. "Stop! Stop!" The child pleaded, as I pressed my foot into his back. "No." I felt the stone cold curl that my voice held. I felt the shivers of fear it sent through the child's body and he cried. I leaned down, taking a strong hold on the top of his head. He began begging again, as I slowly lifted his head, bringing the knife to his throat, and pulling it in a single swift motion. His body went stiff, as he let a gurgled scream out for him. I then began slicing cuts into his skin, his coughs and gargled begging brought a bigger smile to me. I watched as each cut let out multiple streams of crimson blood. I brought the bloodied knife to my lips, tasting the bitter blood. I let the kids head drop back to the floor, "You were a good one kid, thank you." I murmured sweetly, pressing my knife into the back of his throat, letting him become dust with the wind. I smirked, he was most likely in a better place anyway.
