Percy POV

Dad left after a few hours, insisting that he had to get back to his work. Mom hugged him and told him to visit again when he could, and I gave him a hug as well. We turned away and he disappeared in a small wave of sea-scented air.

"Perce, c'mere!" Tony's voice echoed through the building.

I felt my stomach clench. Had he found something that he couldn't get rid of?

"Hurry up, Percy!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming." I shot Mom and Steve a worried look as I walked down the hallway.

"They're calling for a press conference." Tony was staring at one of his computer screens, his eyes flicking back and forth.

"For what?"

"They want to talk to Seabird."

I groaned. "Do I have to?"

"It's either that or be stuck in this tower for the rest of your life."

"I'm gonna be stuck here anyway." I pointed out.

"We could transfer you.... Change your face, dye your hair-"

"I like my hair."

"Not the time, kid." Tony said. "You only have a couple choices right now."

I bit my lip. "Can I get back to you about it?"

"I guess, but I need an answer ASAP."

I darted back down the hallway. "Mom?"

"What's happening?" She asked, stepping into the hallway. "What did Tony tell you?"

I explained the situation and she sighed.

"It's your choice, Percy. I can't tell you what to do, it's your life being decided, how it happens from here."

"What do you think I should do though?" I asked. "I've finally settled down in a school, there's no going back to normal life now."

"I've never had to deal with this, I can't tell you what to do. Your uncle obviously had no problem revealing himself, but you aren't a billionaire businessman who has paparazzi on him every day anyway."

I sighed. "Alright.... I think I know what I'm going to do."

"It's your choice." She gave me a hug and stood up on her tiptoes to kiss my forehead. "I don't mind what you choose, I've been dealing with this all my life."

"I love you Mom. I've gotta go give Uncle Tony my answer and make a phone call."

----------------------------------------

"You ready for this?" Frank asked me.

"Nope but I'm doing it anyway." I muttered.

Tony had set up the press conference outside, having hired someone to set up a stage outside the front doors. I could see it from where I was standing.

"If you want, I can come with you." Frank offered.

I shook my head. "No one suspects you. Your grandmother needs you right now."

He sighed. "You don't need to do this."

"Yes I do."

I could hear people begin to talk loudly, and looked down to see Tony walking confidently onstage.

"People, people, settle down!" His voice was faint, but still carried to the roof of the building, where I was standing.

"I know you have a lot of questions, but I'm not here to answer them. I'm here to introduce someone to you."

He turned, as if looking behind him for someone, then turned back around. "One moment, ladies and gents, it seems he's a bit camera shy."

That was my cue. I let my wings stretch wide and whistled as loudly as I could. Heads shot up in the crowd and people began to shout.

"And there he is!" Tony shouted.

I dove forward off the roof, feeling the rush of adrenaline that came from the air whistling past my ears. About halfway down the building I flipped myself over and opened my wings.

My feet hit the stage with a light thump. Instantly cameras were flashing on all sides and people were shouting.

"Quiet!" I shouted. No microphone needed here. The volume dropped to a murmur.

"I know you're here for one thing and one thing only. So I'm gonna say it once."

I slipped off my mask, holding it above my head like a trophy. "My name is Percy Jackson, and since the age of 12, I have hidden behind this mask, taking the name Seabird."

Again the group erupted, questions flying everywhere and cameras going off at all angles.

"What about your parents?" A voice called over the din. Instantly people began to chorus the question.

"Yes, my mother does know about this." I said calmly, looking for an opportunity to get off the stage.

"What about your father?" The same voice asked. I caught sight of the person shouting this time, a man with brown hair and hazel colored eyes. Again the crowd echoed him.

"My father passed away when I was young." I answered.

He smirked, an expression that somehow conveyed that he knew I was lying, and his eyes flashed gold.

I froze, staring at him.

Gold eyes.

That's not normal.

And highly worrying.

"That's all the questions Seabird has time for, c'mon, Percy." Tony took my arm and turned me away. I let him lead me inside, then dashed for the stairs.

Gold eyes.

I needed to get ahold of Dad.
