Overwatch's newest HQ was know for its very beautiful gardens. I was personally in love with the black light room. There were certain flowers that would glow in UV light. Genji who was a often quiet person yet could speak his mind in an instant liked the gardens very much. I would often find him meditating in the wide circular patch of green grass that was right under a Sakura tree.
Today Genji asked me to meet him in his usual spot to talk about something. I took a deep breath as I stepped into the room. No matter how artificial the air was it always felt like I was on top of a mountain, it felt fresh. I jogged quickly to the center to see Genji with a few butterflies scattered on his head. " Hi Gen!" I startled not only him but the elegant creatures on his head causing them to fly off. " Kon'nichiwa Y/n." He replied humming in thought . I sat down next to him taking in the sight of the gardens. It was rare that I got to see them anymore. As a field medic I am needed on many missions. I didn't realize how long i was staring until something was placed on my head. A petal fell in my face. Did Genji make me a flower crown? " did you make me a flower crown?" I asked him. He laughed nervously. " when I was in my playboy phase some girls liked them made out of cherry blossoms though they never looked as pretty as you do with one on." I blushed at his compliment.
" thanks Genji." I said laying back in the grass. Then I remembered that he wanted to tell me something . " Say Genji didn't you want to tell me something?" I asked sitting up so I could look at him. He tensed up a little. " Yes I did." He took a deep breath before starting his sentence. " Y/n I have liked you for a very long time and I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me?" I smiled widely. " Yes!" I tackled him in a hug. Best day ever.
