Jade

I silently cried on the curb, my tears forming a puddle on the dark concrete as my best friends watched over me.

Luke sat across from me on the side of the road while Jesy sat on my left and Leigh-Anne on my right.

The sky began to turn into a sea of grey clouds, the trees cool breeze turning into massive waves of cold air.

Waiting outside I could hear the indistinct chat going inside. The rage of Debbie's voice was present.

But it didn't take long till the front door opened. I turned my head and found Perrie walking back to us. It all seemed to be fine until I saw the redness forming on her cheek as well as her dried fallen tears.

I stood up from the curb, rushing over to her and snaking my hands around her waist, "Are you ok?" I cry, my heart beating at the suspense.

She shook her head, swallowing the lump in her throat as she released an isolated tear. I watched it roll down her red cheek and leave her face. She shut her eyes for a second before she began to fiddle with her fingers, "Jade," she started, "I - I'm sorry." she apologised.

I part away from her, giving her a shot of confusion as she looked at me deeply. I shook my head, "There's nothing you have to apologise for." I say.

"No Jade," she cried, another tear leaving her eyes, "there is and trust me. It hurts like hell."

"But why though? What's wrong?!" I ask, tugging on her sleeves to tell me what was happening.

"Jade, I can't - I can't be with you anymore," she trembled as she ran her hand over her heart, "I want to be with you but I can't if we're going to end up like this." she explained.

"End up like what?!" I ask.

"I just don't want you to get hurt!" she yelled, "don't you understand? We have been hiding ourselves for years and now she knows. She doesn't like it Jade. My mom might not be the most accepting person but she's still my mom. I'd go to the ends of the earth to be with you but I have - I can't - I'm sorry."

She started running back into her house and so I followed her. I ran as fast as I could but as I reached the front door... I was too late.

The door slammed in my face and the tears just fell immediately from my eyes.

I couldn't believe this.
